The cache is in Frances Slocum State Park. In the summer, you'll probably want to wear long pants and take some bug repellent. You can walk on trails most of the way. Park near the park office for a longer hike or park at N 41 20.682 W 75 53.998 to get closer to the cache. Enjoy a nice hike in the park. You'll see and hear birds along the way and may pass a wonderful pattern of old stone walls.

No mountain bikes are allowed on trails in the park. If you see trash on the way in, take a bag from the cache and pick it up on the way out.

The cache is a Rubbermaid 8" x 8" x 3" plastic container in a black garbage bag.

We started for the cache around 7:00 and found it just as it was getting dark. Great little hike, did not have any problems with the GPS or finding the cache. This was the first cache found by Spongebob. We took the Mystery Book (I will log it on BookCrossing.com and release it somewhere else after reading it), the compass, the wooden nickel, the casino chip, and a pin. Left a ball for future 4 legged trailblazers, a pencil, a gem bug, a flashlight, and a plane. The walk out was really dark but we did not have any problems. We want to return in the daylight and explore the stone walls a little more. Thanks MapLady!

HI MapLady

Wow nice hike! Well this is my first find just got an Magellan Sportrack Map yesterday it worked great. The whole family went, carried my two year old son in a backpack and had a lot of fun. We saw six deer, one frog and a rabbit on the hike the kids loved it. My daughter took the glitter stickers and left a roll of film, and my son took the pig puzzle and left a rubber ball. We are definitely hooked on geocaching.

We found it around 12:30 this afternoon. We took along my daughters friend and her mom for their first cache. We enjoyed the hike and the beautiful day! We found it with no problems other than the bugs around the cache area. We took the pit pass and a key chain, as well as an appointment book. We left behind a pack of football cards, 2 stes of PA pins, and a Hercules toy.
Thanks again for the great hunt,
Papadadio & Family

This was my first cache hunt...and it was challenging!! First, I just bought my GPS today and entered the coordinates as S instead of N...walked for an hour and a half before I realized I was 5000 miles from where I wanted to be. LOL
Once I entered the coordinates right, it was much easier to find. It turned out to be a 4 hours hike with my 14 mo daughter on my back...whew!! It was a blast though...very nice out there.
I would recommend that you take bug spray and long pants...had to blaze our own trail a couple times.
I can't wait for the next one!!!
