Last find along the trail on our exciting training hike along the river. I've been here 3 times in the last year and just couldn't find it. I've found a rattle snake but no cache. After all of todays excitment I figured today I was going to get this one off my list. Started scouring all possible spots and finally spotted the cache. Took TB and headed offf to the parking lot. Today we were out on a training scout hike that turned out to be a VERY interesting one. On our return trip from Maine Bar we came across a couple of horseback riders. One of them had been bucked off and stepped on. We were almost 5 miles in on the trail from the parking area. Glad to report our scouts preformed well in the situation. We were able to contact 911 and they waited with the injured person while I made my way out to meet the emergency vehicles. They help the other rider keep control of the horses and they helped carry the person to the helicopter, about .25 miles down the trail. Glad to see they were paying attention during First Aid training.

nonetheless.
