Hi, sorry I'm so late to log the event. I guess it took this long for life to slow down afterward! Whew! What a wonderful day! It was well worth a year's work! The only time it rained was after I got my van unloaded up until just before the Gibsonville Tour started. Doug Bassett, the Park Guide, gave an interesting history of Gibsonville. When I got back from the tour the picnic had started with cachers eating in shifts so I didn't need to worry about over 188 people signed up to be in a shelter for 184 people. Everyone brought large amounts of interesting delicious food, drink, wood, & charcoal, etc.; so I didn't need to worry about feeding the crowds. As usual everyone helped with everything! Roland Beck, the Park Manager, not only spoke but also helped cook etc.. Road Kill sold so many raffle tickets that we can have at least two really nice raffle prizes next year.
Medic Dave's Radio Cache was a hit! Killer B and Brogan out did themselves again with their "Gathering Only" caches with great 1st to find prizes. I always say, "Next year I'll find them for sure." This year Strike Force 1 and Brogan really surprised me! I was even crawling on the floor looking for this one. When Strike Force 1 gave me the walking stick with the Coyote on the top I couldn't help crying for joy and disbelief. THANK YOU! I say next year for sure I'll stay for the Bon Fires with Jungle Hair & Kimmy Shimmy! They are reported to be such fun.
When people log on that they will be at the picnic I make a mental note of the names and think I really want to say "Hi". When the day is done I realize I hadn't begun to meet everyone. That means we'll have to do it again next year; four times is not enough.
Thank you to all who helped clean up! Thank you to ALL attendees, pat yourselves on the back, YOU successfully carried out another fun "Letchworth Fall Gathering"! See Ya!

This was my first Letchworth Gathering attended and also my first time at the park. I really enjoyed it. Thanks to those who set up the event, and also to those who hid some of the caches in the park. Had a good time meeting some more cachers and seeing some old ones. I look forward to going to Letchworth V.

Our 4th Gathering and it just keeps getting better and better every year! Thanks so much to Gamma Kitt and the whole Blackwatch Clan for hosting this! And to Junglehair and NYGO for all the things they did too. We arrived about 11:30AM and left after enjoying Junglehair's bonfire until 9PM. Was great to again see people we haven't seen since the last gathering (this being only our 2nd event this year) and great meeting some new faces too. Oh, and great to see the people we have gotten to see on the trails and elsewhere all year, sometimes too often. :)
We got to see a glimpse of Killer B's mind and it was enlightening. Looking forward to doing some of his caches now. Also as always, Brogans evil mind had obviously been working some OT this past year, glad we got to experience the unfolding of his cache, and didn't spend all day on it (we have learned from past years). We also completed the "Marconi's Revenge" cache put out by MedicDave, it was a fun challenge and the 1st cache we have seen of this kind. Thanks Dave, enjoyed it immensly!
Great people, great location, good Fall weather, great fun, can't ask for more.

SOME HAVE ASKED WHAT TO BRING. I SAY LOOK AT WHAT IS COMING ALREADY AND BRING WHAT YOU THINK WE NEED OR WHAT ELSE YOU WOULD WANT TO BE THERE. THINGS I SEE WE STILL NEED ARE: 2 OR 3 PKGS HAMBURG ROLLS, ANOTHER PKG OR 2 OF HOT DOGS & ROLLS, PERHAPS A FEW MORE CASSEROLE OR SALAD DISHES, ANOTHER BAG OF CHARCOAL, STARTER, MATCHES, PLASTIC PLATES, SILVERWARE & GLASSES OR HOT CUPS FOR THE COFFEE, & NAPKINS. WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO USE ANOTHER SET OF CATSUP, MUSTARD & RELISH.
I STILL HAVE MANY LARGE PLASTIC TRASH BAGS FROM PREVIOUS YEARS. I HOPE TO BEGIN CLEANING UP AROUND 4:30 OR SO; HELP CLEANING UP WOULD BE GREAT! WE HAVE TO LEAVE THE SHELTER AS SPOTLESS AS WE FIND IT.

Plan to do some onsite dutch oven cooking(chicken & biscuits).Check out WWW.WNYDOS.COM. Will bring coffee for the early birds. I think there will be three of us. See you all there.

Candy God and I will be there. We are coming out a couple days early as we love the park and always visit with some friends in the Buffalo area while there. Will bring the Taco Salad again as it was such a hit last year. We've already reserved a site (#716) and know there are a few more from the Capital Region that are coming also.
