Near Franklin, Idaho, there is a hill. On the south side of this hill resides one of my favorite childhood memories. As you travel along U.S. highway 91, near Franklin, look to the west, and on the south end of the hill, you will see a pair of pointed rock formations. Now, with the imagination of a child, squint your eyes a little and the largest of the formations will start to look like an indian squaw stooped under the weight of a papoose. Near her, the other formation will appear to be her young son. As you travel along (depending on your direction of travel), the indians will appear either to enter or to leave a cave in the side of the hill.
My father, who grew up near here and camped and played on this hill, pointed this phenomenon out to me and my siblings when I was a youngster. Each trip to visit grandparents would begin and end by watching for the mother and her child near their home in the cave on the hill. To commemorate this memory, I have returned with my own son to place a cache with a childhood theme. We have included mostly items for children. The cache is an ammo can. |

LilSemaphore and I were up here on a lottery run and found this cache. We had found it before on Geocaching.com and are logging it as a find here too. TFTC SL

The area where this cache seems to be appears to be fenced in (or fenced out?) by barbed wire - I didn't want to go in without checking first: is this private property? Or is the road side of the fence the "property" side?
