This 2-waypoint NaviCache is in the open with lots of satellites for inexpensive eTrex GPS owners, few bugs, and little greenery to trample. Bring a garbage bag to fulfill our motto: "cache in, trash out". Be wary of on-lookers and swap equally for one of the high quality NaviCache contents: Compton's Encyclopedia CD, sports watch, dinosaur key ring, swiss army knife, autographed AJ Croce CD (since replaced by a VERY used puck), and the ever-popular WheresGeorge.com dollars for free tracking. For emergencies, I've also included GPS AA batteries, extra garbage bags and a flashlight. Please log your success (or failure) in the NaviCache logbook and the Cache Report below. My 2nd attempt at introducing Northern NY to NaviCaching (my first is "Emma A" in Canton). I wanted to place this NaviCache in Ogdensburg where my parents spend the Summer, but the extended road construction is a spoiler.

From around the starting co-ordinates, note the year of the war (WWWW) and the last 2 digits of the year of original mill construction (CC).

Found this cache after my sister and I did our subtraction right. We really need to read the clues...
Anyway, it was there and we logged in. Took the Where's George bill which we placed in another cache further up the road and left a sailboat jewel and a unicorn pin. Nice place as you can hardly be seen by passerby when you're behind the bushes. Thanks!

There's something about this little hamlet and thievery: the cache is missing again (regardless of the game explanation note I leave in the tupperware container). I don't know, maybe the park caretaker or local kids can't read.

Nonetheless, I've re-hidden a microcache. It's a small, inconspicuous, one-cup plastic container with a small log sheet and a WheresGeorge bill.

Let's hope it wasn't small-minded people who took the last game box and spoiled the fun for others. I've replaced it with a small, plastic container that reads: "NaviCache.com, play the game, don't steal". It holds a log book, WheresGeorge dollar bill, emergency flashlight, and a digital watch. Enjoy.

I checked on my NaviCache as I was heading to my parent's Dunn's Pt. home. Sadly, the cache is missing. The small plasticware container included the standard, typewritten explanation of our family-oriented game, so I don't think it was vandalized by an adult. I'll be giving Morristown one more chance: I'll replace the box & gifts this week.

Found it, but had to wait a little while for some hackey sacking Morristown delinquents (hehe) to leave the vicinity before scoring the cache. Very informational site, cool cache.

8/20/01 - Hey, I went today with my sister to hide her first cache, and we made a day of it and went to the Morristown cache. Way too easy if you ask me... way too out in public. You said there were wheresgeorged dollars in it right? They weren't there when we found it... so i'm assuming that somebody else found it first that wasn't supposed to and snagged the dollars. Anywayz... I took the CD and left a hockey puck that one of the St. Lawrence teams used to practice with as well as a wheresgeorged dollar.
