St. Paul's Cochran Park is on Summit Avenue. I grew up in this area. F. Scott Fitzgerald was born near here and wrote his first successful novel, "This Side of Paradise", while he was living in a Victorian brownstone about 6 blocks west of the park. The Commodore Hotel is kitty-corner from the park; this was a Jazz Age hangout for the hard-partying F. Scott and his wife, Zelda.

While you are in the area, take a stroll down beautiful Summit Avenue. It's the country's only remaining monumental Victorian residential boulevard of this size.
