It is a pleasant walk with the view of the Pyrinees mountains in one side and the Mediterranean Sea in the other. During Summer time it can be a hot trek but you can refresh in the Sea at the end of the walk.
The approach can be done from the villages of Sobrestany, l’Escala or l’Estartit. If you begin from that last one, you have to look for an uphill road with two signs, a white one indicating "CAMPING" and a green one indicating "Roca Maura, Cala Pedrosa, Cala Ferriola". Follow that road until the point N42º3,996' E3º11,378' where you can leave the car. There you can follow the path until the point (N42º04,440’ E03º11,413’) where the path begins to descend to the Sea (Cala Pedrosa). The vegetation is very coarse, so it is advised to stay within the trail. The cache is under a pine tree, covered by pine spikes, near the cliff (beware of it, there are 42 meters of vertical wall to the Sea). It is a transparent plastic container. From that point you can see the Roca Foradada rock, a natural bridge over the Sea |

To approach the parking we took the printout of www.navicache.com because there's given more detailed information how to do. The hike wasn't too exhausting (temp. about 20 C°). Great views over the shore and a lot of noisy sea-gulls circling the rock. We made a picture with the camera and took the little round box. Left a koala keyring. Thanks for a gorgeous hike.
