Warning: Hunt for this cache at your own risk.

The park allows camping and public hunting, wear bright colors during the season. Some of the "trails" come close to the river and cliff, watch your step so you don't fall off/in. The cache is in a high area to avoid flooding. The park is down 27th Avenue, which comes off 61st Street Lane.

Caution: This cache is in or near a public hunting are. Please use extra care if you choose to go geocaching during open hunting season. Iowa's shotgun deer seasons are Dec. 6-10 and 13-21.

First stop while morel hunting with my parents and uncle. Didn't find many mushrooms (maybe the two other hunters got them all?), but did get a chance to pick up this cache to be recycled. Left an orange marker I found in the woods, in the old hiding spot. Will retreive it sometime. Was somewhat suprized there was still a treestand not far from the old spot, I thought ones in public land were supposed to be taken down?

Found a really cool hiding spot, the coon living there thought so too. First time I've seen a coon like that. Found another spot elsewhere.

lots of flooding along the river, cache is either under water, or nearly so, or there is not good way of accessing park.

Fifth of 7 caches I found today with Navcb in the greater Vinton area. Hit this one around 7 pm. We've started to notice that Welch has an affinity for trying to {{stump}} us on these geocaches!!! Was another good hide, and these out of the way parks are really interesting.
Looked through the logbook and saw the mushroom hunters entries.....hehehe.....maybe you could let them know where all of your caches are and they could just keep an eye on them for you.

Second of two for me and HotWheels today. Found the cache easy enough after climbing the hill. Not much by some standards but pretty big for an outta shape guy like me :)

Cache is in good condition, HotWheels took a rubber mouse and left a little tow truck.

A half dozen or so wild turkey flew across the road as we drove to the park. I couldnt help but think of Les Nesman watching the turkeys being thrown out of the helicopter.

Really raining too hard to take any time here and chance exposing the cache. A Western New Yorker in Cedar Rapids on business with a weekend to go caching, I did manage to log in and I got things closed back up before they got too wet. Also did Keebler, Riverside and Dead Road Caches this day. Road Kill is grinning.

Welcome to Navicache! Tell-em Road Kill sent ya. But then I guess I just did.
Still grinning
