First of 7 caches I found today in the greater Vinton area with Navcb. Hit this one around 3:30pm. Mosquitos weren't too bad, but it sure was hot & muggy. We were hunting all over for this one after the long hike in, and then we both remembered.......Hey, it's called Keeber's cache. Maybe we should look in the trees to find it........ Was a good hide, and no racoons around it this year.
The shortest path from the parking area is definitely not the easiest path, unless you bring an amphibious vehicle!

Took nothing but left the Count on Me travel bug here. I figured those pesky Keebler elves could use it to count up all the cookies they bake.

Took Ladybug and HotWheels out on this beautiful day. Great hiding spot, no sign of the racoons. Ladybug took a WheresGeorge dollar and left a large carabiner. HotWheels liked the little balancing see-saw toy. He left a pocket hand warmer for anyone who gets cold hands like he does.

Cached-in, Trashed-out.

Tackled this one after Hoefle-Dulin. Watch out for strange readings due to dense cover. Etrex was about 150ft off.
One thing though, I would say this cach is on the SE side of the lake, not NE, as stated in the discription. Not trying to argumentive, just my opinion as we ended up walking around the whole lake! Not to worry, it was a beautiful day and we had a great time! Took yoyo, left coaster.

Hail was coming down as I found a place to park the car. A Western New Yorker in Cedar Rapids on business with a weekend to go caching, I wasn't sure I wanted to get out of the car. Then within 5 minutes or so things let up so I headed down the path. I too found the coords about 75 feet off, but Road Kill prevailed. Took Mickey Mouse and left a Forrest Gump CD taken from Skywatchers cache. I quickly signed the log and closed things up because it was raining a bit. By the way I think some nearby campers were baking. I swear I could smell cookies. Road Kill is grinning. On to 4 more caches as I head south.

I appreciate having my finds brought to Navicache. Thank you Welch.
