The cache is in Riverside park, Vinton, IA. Suggested parking: n42.10.435 w92.00.921.
Suggested route: Once at the parking coords. proceed in a northeastern direction, and follow one of many trailways down toward the river. Personaly I like the trail directly behind the modern entertainers building.

When the trail reachs the river turn north and follow the trail past the winter activity area. The park has a frisbee golf, and of course you pass part of it, i've never played the course but ive heard it's fun. If you have the time play a round, good luck.

Went up to Vinton to watch a movie. Would have like to have spent a couple hours checking all the caches in the area, but that was not to be so. So I picked out my older one and went looking for it. Severe flooding has swept out the cache :(. The log/wood pile it was hidden in is gone, and the area has a new collection of brush in a different arangement.

Third of seven caches I found today with Navcb in the greater Vinton area. Hit this one around 5:30 pm. Was a nice, easy walk in from the sledding hills. I actually found this one before Navcb this time. There was still a little water in the container, so we emptied it out and sealed the lid extra tight.
Took nothing left nothing.

Nice little spot for a cache!

Our first find ever, the kids are having a blast. Took a hot wheels, left some weather trivia cards. On to the next one....

This was a quick in and out because of rain. A Western New Yorker in Cedar Rapids on business with a weekend to go caching, I did manage to take a lead bullet, leave a watchband and log in. I got things closed back up before they got too wet. Also did Keebler, Hoefle-Dulin and Dead Road Caches this day.

Me again Welch. You did make my days in Iowa enjoyable.
