Another nice conservation area in Boone County, about halfway between Rockford and Belvidere. I went to high school with a guy whose dad was a farmer and owned this land before it was a conservation area.
Park at the dead end of Distillery Road and hit the mowed trail. Off trail walk is short and pretty clear, so you don't need long pants.
