I am proud to have had this cache dedicated to me. However, I am saddened by the fact that Belleterre has decided to reduce or eliminate her activities in geocaching. She allowed me to adopt this cache in order to keep it in existance for other geocachers to enjoy. It may be quite a challenge to many, since I've actually gone hunting it down on foot. If you have a bicycle, you'll put it to good use, and don't forget the munchies and a beverage along the way.

This cache is dedicated to Fledermaus and Real Deal, who kicked me out of the caching rut I was in.

My first 67 finds were mostly on my own with occasional help from hubby, Dad, Mom, son or daughter. I would have kept on happily caching in isolation, but no, Fledermaus wouldn’t have that. He was determined to find out who the mystery cacher was who kept hitting up all of his caches, especially Toandos Lockbox. He wasn’t even fazed when I told him I’d have to do an FBI background check and get a list of all his speeding tickets. I finally caved in and agreed to go caching with him and his buddy, Real Deal. IT WAS A BLAST! We hit up 12 caches (10 finds) in a 12 hour, 150 mile (plus ferry ride caching spree. Here’s to future joint endeavors.

Cache is within a few feet of trail so no hill-climbing or significant bushwhacking are required.

This is a 3.6 mile round trip easy hike or a nice ride on a mountain bike. Park at N 47° 33.290' x W 122° 49.602'. Walk up the blocked gravel road to N 47° 33.581' x W 122° 47.657' and turn right. If the creek is high, you may need to use rocks or a tree to cross.

There are a couple of alternate routes back. If you are standing with your back to the Bat House:

Left trail: same distance, but goes up on the hillside a ways

Right trail: about a half mile longer along some beaver ponds. Go to the gravel road and turn left, go to the next intersection and turn left. It'll take you right back to your car.

At first you may be stumped, but once you find the cache you will be stumped anyway.
