A nice easy hike to a pretty arch in Ute Valley Park. Explore the rest of the park.

I was told by the city of Colorado Springs to remove the original cache from the City Park. I have replaced it with a virtual cache. No private land needs to be traversed for this cache.
Estimate how many feet from the bottom of the arched section to the ground to claim this find? The answer is NOT 0.

For some more nice rock formations continue in the Easterly direction.

Thanks for the nice easy first Cache. This one was perfect for a nice little short walk with my dog and 8 year old son Jacob. The arch is literally a 15 minute walk from my house and I pretty much live in Ute park this time of year, mountain biking there at least 3 times a week to try to stay in shape.

I laid down a nice 8 mile track a couple weeks ago (virtually all the major bike trails in the park) when I got my Garmin GPSmap60CSX, and marked way points everywhere so that I could link a position on my topo map to a detailed visual memory of virtually every spot in the park, however I didn't bother to put the cache location on the map before we left, which of course would have told me pretty much exactly where it was and seemed kind of like cheating. I thought I knew every locale in the park but I actually wasn't aware that there even was an arch up there so I was expecting a surprise of some kind, but there it was, a bit off my regular riding route. I had walked that trail a couple years ago but I forgotten that the arch was even there. Very nice. Thanks again!

- Mike

P.S. Is this where I enter my guess. I say 4-1/2 feet.

P.P.S. Sorry I didn't bring my camera.

This is a great park. I walked the loop and also went to find Geode Cache during the walk. What a great little arch. Thanks for the cache.
