I took the nice hike from the caboose and noticed it was closer to the ironton bike trail. Never found the cache after looking around the old cement structures for awhile. Will try again when I am biking the area. Dondork

I was in Allentown for a meeting and decided to take a different way home which would take me past this cache. The container is the first ammo can I've ever found that was wet inside! I tried to clean out some of the wet gunk (and food) with leaves, but couldn't get it all out. Needs some TLC. TNLN. Thanks for the walk around an interesting area - I took some extra time to explore after I found the cache.

The parking area is deceptively near (about 0.2 mi) the cache spot but a direct approach would involve climbing down into the quarry and going through the gap to the section of the trail on the other side. I decided to follow the trail. It was a pretty easy walk following the trail all the way around the quarry and down and then I figured I got about as close as I needed to and went through the brush and stuff. Saw two people where the GPS was pointing. I wondered if I should wait for them to finish but after a little while, I thought to heck with it and said hello. They turned out to be Yiprip and RealDeal. It was great meeting them. Took the Bonnie the Raccoon travel bug and traded WG. Thanks.

Great cache! had a blast looking for this one as I have never been to this area before. Came here from Rochester, NY. on business in Allentown PA and figured I would try to grab some cache points while in the area. I see that Magpie was hot on my heels today, glad I was able to beat him to this one but it would have been great to of tagged up with him to find it togther. Like Mag said...coordinates were dead on, my gpsr was reading 6-7 feet at the cache, those are great numbers anyday.

I left several "Wheres George" bill for tracking purposes and hehehe...took Magpie's "Ronstadt" Cd he wanted. I signed the log book and took the last picture of the camera that was inside the cache. If you deicde to have those developed and want them added to the Navicache.com website's picture section let me know and I will add them here.

I took several pictures of the area that I will include with this report as well as e-mail to the cache owner.
Very neat area indeed, spent some time looking about after the find. This area looks cool when you use the cache pages "lostoutdoors" link.
Thanks for a great time on a warm day. I hope to see more in the future.

What a day indeed! You want to talk about extreme caching you should try what we did today. Started out in upstate,NY and raced across Two other states to grab caches and view the scenic areas around them. I thought for sure I would beat Quinn to this one as I thought he was not aware of the new submission to the Navicache site.
I got to the parking lot (had to search some) and took a few pix of the nice red train trolley car by the road side.

I looked around a bit for an easy way to make my move towards the cache site and found one after a few minutes.
I beat feet for the path and my GPS stayed dead on the whole way.
When I found the cache (coordinates were dead on) I opened it to see a log from the Quinn man inside saying" Nice cache and great area, thought I would make it here second but I think I got it first" he also said he took the "Linda Ronstadt" CD...I LOVE LINDA!!!! I wanted that.
To top if off he also took the last picture on the cache camera.
I'll have to hussle to beat them to the next caches. This one was great fun though and I had a ball going to it. Nice to see another cache from PA placed on Navicache.
How many people drive 295 miles for a cache?
