Spooked about 5 deer on the way in. Although the trails had plenty of evidence of human activity, there were no human tracks into GZ at all. Snow was deep and crusty, and I was surprized that no one had sought this cache out over the many snowfalls we've had this season. Even so, the "tells" of a full sized cache were there, and it was a pretty easy find. Left a pathtage in the baggie with the logbook. TFTF.

Found with Pele, my wife and two other women. We actually found it on or about 1/7/07 at 4 dark thirty.

I was in town for the day visiting from Pittsburgh. I used to live in Rochester for an 8-year stretch about 15 years ago. This park was one of my favorites to visit for different activities in all four seasons. This cache was the second of several found on a nice hiking tour of the area. After finishing the Erin's Deer multi, I continued over to this cache. Surprisingly and fortunately, I honed in on the hiding spot for this one very quickly after noticing a spot that seemed likely for a cache. I signed in at about 9:00 a.m. but didn't make any trades. Thanks for the cache and for bringing back great memories of this area!

2nd cache tonight w/ my sister and nephew from Garford Gang. They had done this one earlier in the day, but noticed after doing 5 caches, that they lost a cel phone. We went back tonight w/ my cel phone to hopefully locate it and as a bonus, while they looked for the phone (hopefully it was turned on to ring when I called it), I got to find this cache and log it at 7:45PM. Another nice cache Blackwatch Clan! (We did find the phone at the last cache they did today, of course it being the 5th cache we retraced their steps at too!)

Beautiful day for a walk in the park. Very nice hide. Second of two today. Took much needed batteries for the GPS, left "Smelly" crayola crayons.

Even we had a hard time finding this one again. Things have changed slightly since the last ice storm. We did leave a few new treasures and a new log book; so start filling it! This one is a real "Huckle Buckle Beanstalk" hide! See Ya! Gamma Kitt & Coyote

Somehow I had the coords off at N43 02.774 and tried to walk over from Iroquois Transplanted since it was only .21 miles. I realized something was wrong when I ran into a wall of posted signs.

Once I double checked the coords I realized I was actually over a mile away.

I parked the truck along the side of the road and was prepared for an easy one since the distance was only .15 miles. Usually I find these disappointing because they are too easy but this was a pleasant surprise. Getting to the location is the easy part, finding the cache is a bit more challenging.

It looks like the ice storm helped with the general decor of the place.

Apparently I just missed Brogan and Berkmom. There is only room for one more log unless you write on the back cover. I took trash bag and left doll furniture kit and toys.

First find - cold day - windy - ice and snow - deer kept us company - got some good photos - went with Road Kill - learning this great "sport" and grinning along with Road Kill.

1st of Five in park today, 1:23pm, 4-6 inches of snow.
Passed by HUGE poison ivy vines on the way into cache.

Found this one @ 10:03am. It was under a log :) Cache in good shape. Snapped a pic with a "V" for victory. Took nothing... left a QSL, and a Wyzyrds mix CD. Tnx for the hide.

What pile??? Had fun doing this cache and had a great laugh over the clue as I sat on a log decoding it:). Brought a friend of mine with me. He took the animal skull (says it's a buck's skull chewed on by rodents) and I took the tin tray. Left geocaching button and keychain lantern.

Nice! Parked quite close and the GPS led me right to it. Nicely hidden - I came home and laughed at the ever-so-helpful clue. It was raining buckets by the time I got there so I just logged my find and dashed for my nice dry car across the road - and I'm that much closer to being done with this park!

4th of 9 finds today Found at 12:05 PM
Been waiting a while to do this one and it didn’t disappoint me. I think it’s a classic. This one took me at least 30 minutes to find. GPS brought me to the spot and I looked and looked. Finally expanded search area and found it. Coordinates seem to be off 30 or 40 feet, but since no one else has complained maybe it was I. You get that “feel good about yourself feeling” when you find one like this. Took pics 20 and 19 with cache camera. Flash didn’t work 1st time so that’s why I took a 2nd. Didn’t work then either. The other camera is full. Signed log, took/left nothing. But I think I logged 7 Aug so will the next finder change my log date to 7 Sep.
Thanks for the challenging hide and the feeling I got after finding it.

Our 4th cache of the day. We found this one in the dark (8:35pm). Driving over to the area, we must have seen about 35 deer! Wasn't too hard to find even in the dark. The hardest part is jumping over all the down trees. This was the only cache we found in the park that was still hidden well. We took the tape measure and left a puzzle.

Found without too much difficulty. Of course I had my granddaughter along to spot it. Lots of hiding places... I wonder if anyone knows why there are so many deadfalls there? Swapped a G bill and some trinkets.

2nd one of the day. Walked past it several times. Left a one time use camera.

This was #2 today. Thought we wouldn't find this one once we saw all the downed trees in this area, but luck was on my side.I stopped and looked to my right and there was the cache"under a log pile". Thanks for a good hunt.

Didn't need the GPS to find this since a deer crossed the road headed straight for the cache just as I was pulling up. Cool skull near the cache, hint indicates deranged sense of humor.
Number 11 or 13 for the day

I was out in mendon do to work, so i decided to stop by mendon ponds to do some geocaching. Found cache by the clue you gave. {heehee} I took the marriage frame that says A good marriage would be between a blind wife and a deaf husband. I exchanged george bills, and left a gold dollar

I didn't see deer run, but found a small dirt road going in from other side. We (me, my dad, and my puppy) followed the road, and got to within 200 feet of cache. We then walked through tree, and fallen timber. I almost stepped on cache as it appeared when I was thinking it was still 20 or 30 feet ahead. I signed log, and took picture, but wasn't expecting to do this cache today so didn't have anything to leave, so I didn't, and I didn't take anything either.

Well as the picnic went well, we took time to visit in on your Cache.. Thanks for the help and lovely day... BTW the Impostor is on the loose with us.. =OD Delta Team

My hat's off to Gamma Kitt & Coyote (and Angel too) for a great hide. This one will show you that there are still a lot of good spots out there. Took a picture and a puzzle and left some splash bombs. I wasn't going to rub it in. (Road Kill says as he grinns) But! Lets just say Quinnow now knows what Huckle Buckle Bean Stalk means.

Well as most of you know, I went after this one as partner to Roadskunk and skunked I was!
He spotted it first and sat out the rest of the hunt until I made my find. Something about that little grin that just makes the hair on your neck rise up. I had a good time on the hunt and it was placed in a great spot. i signed the logbook and took a picture of self with your camera.
The 1st cachers Get-Together went very nice, I am glad I got to meet most of you!
