Took this one the hard way. Started out on the wrong side of the swamp, coming from another cache, so had to walk all the way up to Wadham's Pavilion and in again on the right side. TFTF.

Mebbe and I went for a muddy walk on this one, he spotted it 1st according to my notes...but the writting looks like his ;-)

4th of 8 for today. Osbert and LifeGaurd were getting mad at my finding streek so when i found it immedialty i told them i would take a break and let them find this one. took them over 5 minutes to figure out i had already foudn it and was laughing at them for taking so long. We actually took the right trail to this cache. Smiley spotted it right off. It was a beautiful day and a nice hike in the park. Tried to cover the cache up a little better. Thanks

This was the third of the caches I did in the Powder Mills Park Area. I found the parking spot best suited for this hunt. I had to climb steep turrain to get to this cache. I was shocked to find the the cache box lay right out in the open! I made no trades. I re-hide the cache box so that it was not in plain view. My sidekick was here in spirit today.

After visiting the hatchery close by to watch the new trout being in, I went for this cache. I met some deer very close! When I tried to get my camera ready, they felt uncomfortable and left the scene. I found the cache quite fast and easily. What a nice surrounding! Our fifth and final cache for the afternoon. We were pretty tired by this time because we decided to stop in between to grab a bite to eat. It’s not as easy getting motivated after just eating a Tom Wahls cheeseburger with everything. But we enjoyed the walk and the terrain was a cinch. Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for the hunt.

This was our fourth cache. We missed it on the first pass, the compass bearing on the GPS kept oscillating under the dense tree cover, so we were up and down the hill and all over the place. We decided to continue on to Joanne's Trek and test our skills there. On our way back to the car we had to stop and try again. This time I took one bearing and visualized it and then kept going in the general direction.

The cache was extremely well hidden. In retrospect it must have been under our noses the first time. There was a dense cloud of mosquitoes around the cache, and what with West Nile Virus... Anyway the cache is extremely packed, due to a Cheer's T-shirt, and other trinkets in original packaging. We left "Snuggles" who wanted to hitch a ride, and took an adorable red Santa.

I've been in this area a lot lately, so this time I decided not to walk away empty-handed. Took the right path in and walked right up to the cache, saw some wonderful birds and something ominous stirring in the swamp. I think I'd get more done in this park if I didn't keep getting distracted by the fishies.
Didn't take anything, didn't leave anything except Marvin the Martian, the travel bug. I snapped a picture and when I got home to look at it I realized I noticed that the log entry doesn't look like I signed it - sorry! I was here!

5th of 10 finds today. Found at 1:00 PM
Came in the shortest way, up and over then down the hill. It was way to hot and muggy for any long hiking for me today. GPS got me close when I spotted it. But GPS never said any closer than 35 feet, even while logging in at the cache. Took picture # 25 with cache camera. Since my feet were damp with sweat, I took the new pair of socks and left a mosquito head net. Thanks for the hide.

Had an hour to kill so we went for a walk. 2/3 of the 6 pack and 2 friends - never knew teenaged boys could be such whiners. Followed the path right to the spot, sent the boys right where it should have been in the woods and they didnt find it. We thought the GPS was a little off so up the hill we went, after aimless wandering and endless whining the boys went back to the car and Rlind and I went back up the path. Lo and behold right where I told the boys to look (I think one of them was actually on the fallen tree) I found it in about 2 minutes.

We took the scented candle (for us) and the bug and finger monster (to drop off later), and left a lei and glow stick.
Put the box back and placed more dead wood in front of the box.

The cache camera is empty.

The Peppermill 6-pack

Found this one in April but never logged it. Took nothing, left nothing. Logged 9/19/02.

What a comedy of errors. Guess I'll re-read the description before forging ahead.
I started down the right path but it looked like it was turning away from the cache. So I went down a different path which was much more difficult terrain. I got within 250 feet of the cache and attempted to cross about 100 feet of bog. Sank to me knees a couple of times in nice chilly muck. Was able to get within 100 feet but could go no further without hip-waders. Retraced my steps all the way back and went up the right path with no further difficulty.
After logging my entry, headed off for another nearby cache. Lo and behold there was a well defined path with a bridge not 200 feet further alon my original path. Got soaked and muddy for nothing. Live and learn. I did find out that I kind of enjoyed the squishy between the toes feeling. This was number 4 of 13 for the day.

Went out during lunch with a couple guys from work, including you brother Roger (aka Road Kill). Planned on hitting both caches in Powder Mill park today and this was the first. I good hike over the hill from the road. Got the ole heart pumping. Stood at the top of the hill and took a guess where it might be and it turns out we were right. Roger was the first to spot it. I took a CD-R and left a music CD. I took a photo of the three of us. Roger took some with his own camera. Thanks for the fun.

Road Kill and co-workers make another noon hour trek and hit two caches. 1st here then on to Joannes' Trek. Again we picked the wrong approach. Why is it the paths are never where you expect them. But fun was had by all. Took three dollar bills and left three dollar coins. Sounds like an even trade to me. Road Kill is grinning. Thanks sis.

Found it without too much trouble. I brought my puppy, and got a picture of both of us with the cache camera. Took gardening gloves, and left a Patricia Cornwell book. This was a fun hike.

Well after a 45 minute search, and a break.. We were able to find it with the site hints you had given.. And while we were there.. We had alot of visitors.. One was a fellow Cacher (Rocky) who shared our time together.. We had a great walk and Exchanges our gifts, signed your book... But most of all enjoyed the trail.. Thanks Gamma and Coyote.. Quinn and I were at it again this morning. Found the cache about 11:30 am. Or I should say that he found it and even after he showed it to me I still couldn't see it as it was hidden well. Very hot day!

well...I guess that proves it all! Gimpy and Yardboy are early morning slackers that can't roll out of bed to come find a cache. Bout time I beat those guys to the hunt.

This was a very beautiful park with what seems to be much to do in the area. Even the skeeters seemed to be sleeping when I came with Caron to find this one. I took several pix of the area and cache, We took a picture of ourselves together with your single use camera as well as signed the logbook. I took the hitchhikers kids and will be sure to do my best in reuniting them with the family. Thanks for all the fun you guys!
Everytime I look for one of your caches I think about you guys at the meeting. You guys were both great and I am glad I had the chance to meet you.
