Located just off the hilltop of Crescent Hill Trail (Horizon Hill Parking area) off Garnsey Road, Perinton. Should be easy to find.
This cache is a retired 50 cal. ammo box, black w/ white lettering. The cache contains the usual stuff. A single use camera to take a self portrait and return it to cache. A log book to fill out w/ your name, comments, etc. and assorted trinkets of which you can choose one to take and replace w/ another. You can easily get to it on foot w/ your family.(Just watch for poison ivy) **Note: 1/29/02 There was a problem with the cache being too visible since Fall so I have changed the coordinates to reflect a new location. |

Took us a while as GPS was bouncing around. Had been to a Greyhound Info Meeting. Left Greyhound pin. Beautiful day in the 50's...with nice view.

Took by bike into the trails to do this one. It wasn't to bad until I had to get off the trail and walk to the cache. It took me some time to find it. The GPS was jumping all around. I did find it. I had to read the listing 3 times. It was thick as heck in here!! Oh and I realized the warning about the poison ivy the third time I read it when I was like 10 feet away from the cache! Hope I don't get any rashes! Just a note to the hiders, you may want to increase the difficulty by 1 1/2. 2.5 is whart I thought it should be. Traded nothing. My sidekick was here in spirit today.

Several people using the trail this morning. Walked in on the blue trail and out on the orange trail. Since the day was bright and clear, the view from the top was superb. Took Digit, the travel bug. On the way out meet Manny and his dog, Chance, who Manny rescued from the Lollipop Farm. Manny noticed my GPS and said that as a scoutmaster he was interested in having his scouts use one. We had a congenial chat about geocaching.

Open Log: Personal use only Found it at 4:35 pm. This is our second attempt. The first time there were people around who didn't seem to be in a hurry to leave. Again tonight there were people around so we continued on the trail. When we came back they were gone and we headed straight for the cache. Took nothing, left nothing.

Open Log: Personal use only I had to move around after a long day of jury duty, so I headed out here to see if I could find this one and get a bit of excercise. Found the trail just fine and headed up, scaring a bunny along the way. Coords were right on and I had no trouble with this one. Joy! The travel bug was still there so I nabbed it, and took a grow-a-frog as well. Left the cowboy earrings and a few WG bills. A nice walk after sitting around all day!

Nice hide guys had me searching for a bit. Thanks for getting me out on s mini adventure and to smell the flowers. Great view but distant sounds of traffic and construction took from the total picture of things. Signed the log and made my swap had trouble trying to close the box its so filled.

Went here in hopes of adding to the Keychain Kacher, but alas, someone beat us to it this morning! Oh well, maybe we'll catch up to it soon! Excellent view and beautiful trail system - the birds were singing, the crickets chirping and the breeze whistling in the trees!! Sunny hot day - the bench came in handy. Thanks for a fun hunt!!

I found it on my second trip. I got a late start on my first try, and as I walked around where my etrex said it was, I found nothing. But dusk set in quickly to where I wouldn't have seen if it was right in front of me, so I gave up that night. I tried again tonight with a little earlier start, and got up there with more light, and managed to find it. According to my etrex it was about 25 feet uphill from ground zero. I am getting a Magellan 315 soon (it was shipped today). It has averaging, and may do better in the woods than my etrex. I took a small level, and left a movie database cdrom.

Yes...I am the son-in-law. I went and found this with Caron today. Weather at the time was very sunny but a tad on the windy side. I had a great time even though Caron spotted cache first.

News Flash! Road Kill sneaks back from Chicago to raid two new local caches. Huckle Buckle Bean Stalk! HeHeHe. Road Kill is grinning. Excellent location. After about 10 minutes of walking by it, past it and over it 3 or 4 times I couldn't believe it was in plain site. But I wasn't out witted by the Blackwatch Clan after all. I took a beany lobster thing and won't say what I left. After I found the cache - I found the knee deep poison ivy patch and a scenic bench. There was a lot of overcast but I clicked off a picture anyway. To anyone living in Rochester - you might be able to see your house from here.
