This cache is an ammo can containing several very nice items including a high quality compass as well as some items for the younger tag-along crowd

I placed this cache within some very interesting trails where you can learn much about the birds of prey in our area. There are postings all over showing pictures as well as text about each bird that can be found around this location. Many people come here with Falcons and hawks for release and sport.

This cache can be done by the whole family and I am sure you will enjoy the views around you. A great place to learn about the Raptors.

The cache is just off a main trail no more than 30 feet or so. At times due to rain the trails may have some muddy spots but all should be fine for the walk.

Please be sure to sign the logbook and take a picture of self or group with the single use camera I have added with the cache. If you take an item please replace it with one of same value.

I have also added some "Wheres George" bills to the cache that can be traded and logged.

This is a great spot to bring the camera along as you will never know what you may come across.

At the trail head you will see a sign containing all the trail maps for this spot.

Parking coordinates are included with this cache listing as well as a few pictures that may help you along the way.

Good Luck and Enjoy!

Was in the area, so decided to look for this cache today. Nice walk back to the hiding area, no one around but us. Found cache at 2:48PM, was surprised to see that someone had found it in June too, but never logged it online. Still in great shape! Thanks!

Found this one after dark. I loved the nice soft trails with 10 inches of new mulch.

Took cd, left gloves, hand warmer, CITO container and some other stuff.

It was a great moonlit night = perfect for the hike out!

Thanks for the hide.

Wet and muddy but worth it. Saw a deer...he walked right by us and never even noticed we were standing there. Thanks for the nice time. It was so muddy we almost gave up but I am glad we didn't. Left some keey chains and an extra pen, took a pretty flowered notebook.

If you're keeping track, the current status is: still muddy. I only saw one "not muddy" log in the logbook! This was a very fun cache to find, well hidden but not so far off the trail that I had to tear anything up to find it. Trails were like a little swamp. I had abandoned my search for another cache due to mud, but after this I figured I had nothing to lose and went back and nabbed it. :) I saw a lot of birds, sure, but the best bit for me was the frogs! I'd be walking down the trail and hear a splash as they jumped around in the puddly bits. Ploop...frog. Ploop...nuther frog. I took some frog pictures on the way out. I will be back after May 31st to walk on the forbidden paths, because I can! I stopped by the banding place but I felt silly yelling "clear" so I just lurked and left. I had a great time! Thanks!

I did another cache by the fresh crew and gang while in these parts.

Thanks for the fun!

Stopped by this cache as we were in the nature area doing the Migration Days Events.. Stopped by the blind and saw that, learned some very interesting facts. The trail to the cache was muddy muddy muddy. However the warm weather and light breeze more then made up for a little mud on our boots, quite a nice change. Found the cache around 4pm, it was just sitting right out in plain site, didnt take any searching at all. The cache was in great shape we took the pencil sharpener and beanie baby zebra, Left WG$, sewing kit and car. We put it back in the same area, just hidden from site a bit more. Thanks for the hide!!

We found the cache at 2:00 after a challenging 30 minute search of the area. The can was hidden by several inches of snow under some brances. We put it back in the crotch of a tree with coordinates close to the original.
We added 2 Where's George bills, and a package of cell phone wrist straps and took a picture as well as about a pound of snow down my back -inside my jacket.
Quinn, thank you for introducing us to so many beautiful places. The snow, temperature, and sunshine made this a perfect day for a walk in the woods.

Found this one with my 9 year old son. It was an enjoyable day out and we plan on going back when the birds are migrating. The cache was laying on the ground out in the open so we put it in some brush. Now that I look at the picture I realize it belongs in the tree. It is within 20ft. of the coordinates, so hopefully the next one to find it will put it back where it belongs. Thanks for the introduction to this place.

Great cache spot. Reading through the logs, and looking at the prints on the trails I can tell we waited until a good time of year. All the trails were dry, and it was a nice walk for the kids, 6, 4 and 3. The six year old found the cache and everyone traded some neat items. Also swapped a g-bill. The sign board at the trailhead had no postings on it, and there were no other pix etc. Guess you have to be there earlier in the season to appreciate the birding aspects, but then you get to wade through the mud too.. Good adventure.. thanks Quinn..

On our way home from the picnic on Saturday we were thinking that this would be a good park for a cache - and it is! It got kind of muddy the farther in we went, but we found what we were looking for.
Took a mini-flashlight/keychain, left golf balls.
Thanks for the adventure!

Now this was FUN. I'm not quite sure why I enjoy the ones that make you "one" with the elements. But I do. I mean by the time we left my lucky light blue caching pants had pom mud prints all over, Foo the wonder dog had turned into a pommy mud paint brush, Sweety gal's feet made rythmicx glucking sounds each time she stepped and Butterfly girl looked like she needed to fly her wings through a car wash.... Oh gee! No pictures of us at our best :)

But it was all worth it. Great area...of course named after a great family :) Beautiful day. And 3 finds.

The cache was discovered by Eversure. Who was alarmed to see that someone put it upside down in the mud. But all the contents were fine. Due to the muddy conditions, we did a "fire brigade line and handed trades and logs through the family. Took out a glow stick (eversures fav Thanks!), a key chain and a little nerf ball. Replaced these with a mouse, colorforms baseball set and a weather radio (may need new batts when found but it works!)

Hey if you are ever down our way (Akron NY) Please check out our newest cache. THE HOBBIT - BAG END CACHE. We put our best prizes in it, a coperative project and will show you some scenery that few in Western NY have seen!

Thanks for the fun!!!

I think I had the right place, but the trails leading in the direction of the cache had signs saying 'staff only'. I talked to a guy there that was busy banding birds. They currently have nets up to catch birds so they can get statistics on the number of birds coming through the area, and was concerned about people walking through, that they might scare birds into the nets, and skew the statistics.

Gee, had to get out and find a few, before i hide more than i have found. Nice rainy day and i went right through the missisippi delta of that great state of Louisiana. I didn`t run into any of those great cajun folk though.
Had the wrong road on my way out but a most helpful trooper on road patrrol was friendly an helpful. Got me straight and i got to show him my old GPS 40. Said he seen the thing on channel 13. I told him to give it a try sometime, that it can be fun. No promises but he found it interesting.
Made my swap signed the log before heading home.
Nice placement as always Quinn.

The trail is extremely muddy. Legs were covered with mud from splashing. Definitely need boots this time of year. Swapped a Where's George we found in Durand. The cache was laying sideways on the ground about a foot from a tree at the coordinates. We placed it a foot off the ground in the crotch of that tree.

Left two george's and took the compass. A nice compass it was! Thanks Quinn!
We also forgot to bring the bag of stuff for exchanging so there will be a nice Barry Bonds baseball card in a close-by cache!
