Cache is a retired 50 ca. ammo can, black with white lettering. Contents include some inexpensive stuff kids would appreciate & a few things that a fellow cacher could use on his/her adventures. Also included is the usual log book & a single use camera to take your mug shot at the cache. Not much of a chance to trample a path back, path already exists just about all the way back.Poison ivy in the area near the cache, but not at the cache spot.Long pants advised. I placed it early in the morning, bugs not too bad, but I can see where they could get bad in the cache area depending on your arrival time. A nice walk with no mountains to climb and very little bushwacking if any. Have fun. --Gimpy--

Finally getting around to logging my finds from gc.com to other sites :)

Had taken the kids on this one and we were sinking in mud most of the trip.

Well after the storm, I decided to hit the caches. I did a cache nearby, so I decided to tackle this one as well. The storm made it pretty hard to get to. I had put on my big boots to make it through the wetlands. I had to cross a creek by walking on a fallen branch. I should have taken my time because the branh busted and I went into a foot and a half of water! No biggy, I trucked on toward the cache. I had to zig-zag a bit but finally found it. I took pic number 34 from the kodak, which needs to be replaced soon, and took a digital pic of my own for y'all to gaze at. Bearcub was with me in spirit. Great Hide. Two for two today.

After having such a good time finding a few other caches in the area, we decided to keep going because we were having so much fun. The cache was in great shape, but Casey and I didn't see the bug.
It wasn't that important anyways because it's all about the hunt. We were walking on thin ice most of the way. So make sure to bring water proof boots if you plan on making it to the cache in the next couple of weeks.

Biked over from HT's cache which is next to the same bike path. I was able to get within 150' then I had to walk. Found the cache logged in and snatched Homesick Smokey TB, left nothing.
Rode back to car for a nice 6 mi. round trip. Will have to come back with the rest of the family to bike the trail further.
Thanks for the outing,

While going in, I ran into “On A Mission” team who had just found it and were swatting at the deer flies and in a hurry to get out of there. Hope to see them at the picnic in Letchworth on 5 Oct. Your coordinates took me right to it as usual, found it right away. The 1st trail in was nice but the deer flies are waiting for you at the secondary trail. Cache camera was full. Logged in, took/left nothing. Thanks Gimpy for the nice hike and hide.

Looks like only one picture left on the camera so it needs to be changed. Took the sewing kit and left our usual lei and a glow stick.

Went on this hike with two geocache friends Mar. 13th. Fred armed with his trusty Magellan and this guy "circles" (for the direction he always goes in). The farther we went on this one the more we feared we would need hip boots until we came to the turning point. The only other challenge was the small stream we had to cross when we neared the chache. It was very funny, after we crossed the stream we all split up and zeroed in from different directions and yet all three spotted the cache at the same time.
We all signed the book, took a picture and left a token as well as a flashlight. We took nothing and replaced the cache where we found it. This was a fun event on a cool but sunny day. Thanks Gimpy

It was a nice winter morn for cacheing. 25 deg. 1-2 in. snow. The trail in was partially frozen but easily passable. The creek was a challange for me (specifically), but I liked the hike a lot. The cache was well hidden, I was within 25 feet for a long time before I saw it. The cache is in good shape, maybe the next person will bring in another pencil or a knife to sharpen the pencil. The pen still works anyway. I took a keychain flashlight and left a 'Travel Bug', a dog from the movie Blue named FLY. I think he'll get lonely out there if it starts snowing. I also left a 'wheresgeorge.com' $1 bill. I hope the next visitor takes it, logs the movement, and moves it on the first chance he/she gets. Kajer

Man-O-Man! I went after this cache in complete darkness using my new Meridian Gold and a mini mag Flash light.
I got to the Cache area about 5:30PM and it was a complete downpour of rain at the time. I couldn't have gotten any more soaked if I had jumped into a pool. The main trail was the easy part until I came to the turnoff area. This was where the water was about a foot deep in areas due to the heavy rain. I looked around best I could for a shortcut into the area without having to wade my way though, but being as dark as it was I figured what the heck and just sloshed my way the remaining 500 feet to the cache. My Meridian was completely soaked and water was running off the view screen to the point I wish it came with wiper blades. I had the Mag light in my mouth and the Gold in my right hand searching the brush line for the container. I was able to find it within minutes and at the time I came to it my Meridian Gold said I was 3 feet away. This was great seeing as cover overhead was severe with the heavy rain. I was very impressed with the Golds performance and will most likely trust this as one of my better units for Caching. I quickly took your single use camera and noticed it was not a flash unit so I shined my flash light on my face and quickly took the snap shot...I am the very very wet guy that looks stupid for doing this in the dark and rain on a 39* night. I then did my best to sign your logbook without the pages getting soaked. I traded "wheres George bills and also took the hitch-hiker Item that I will relocate for another to find and track.
Even though the weather was bad and the area was very dark, I had a blast on this one! I will most likely do more at night if I have the chance. Sorry it took me so long to get to this one! Thanks for all the fun!!
I have included a picture with this log of Morgan and the Hiker I found in the Cache.

I used this same "old electric trolley bed" as part of my "Who Ya Gonna Call" NaviCache.

I was at a friend's house down the road from this NaviCache for Sunday NFL games & swung by here on my way home. The walk past the swamp was beautiful. There's poison ivy everywhere including a vine directly above the ammo box. Pix will show berries setting on the ivy. My III+ got me to a point in the main trail where I could follow the "deer path" directly to the NaviCache (please walk carefully).

This NaviCache is jam packed with rubber ball, squirt gun, etc. I took nothing & left the usual 2 WheresGeorge.com bills for free tracking. Thanks for the easy walk with good sat reception.

Enjoyed the view from the bicycle trail and especially the swamps. Found a traveler in the cache. Puff is heading East, while his competition is heading West. Will be placing Puff in a location, at least a bit further East in the next few days. Good Hunting to All. John from Honeoye Falls.

Mrs. Rocky, Mother of Rocky and I started our walk in from your parking coordinates under cloudy skies. At about the half way point I did notice the sky getting darker. When we reached the cache area it was like someone had turned the lights out. Wet does not begin to describe how drenched we were. We could not open the cache box as it would have flooded in seconds. If the next cacher to find this would write in the log book, August 31, ROCKY, SOUTH DANSVILLE, N.Y. I would be very thankful. Thank you Gimpy, we were all laughing at dinner thinking about how we squished as we walked back to the car.

At precisely 4:00 PM I logged our visit to Egypt. It was good to find such a nice hiking trail so near our home, especially one I didn't know existed. The final few feet were a little tough for an old gal and of course, as usual, Coyote had to call to me to help me find my way back to the nice path again after the find. Some day I will learn to use a compass. Took two "where's Georges" and left a ladies travel kit. Thanks for a great find. Gamma Kitt & Coyote Awhooooo!

I had just put a fresh pair of batteries in my Vista and was doing the compass calibration dance. Other Vista owners will know what I'm talking about. As I was completing my final rotation, a voice was heard, If you don't mind me asking, what is it that you are doing? The conversation soon lead to Geocaching and Dave decided to join me on the hunt. On the way down the path he gave me a short history lesson on the area. Long ago, the path was the route of trolley track and years later the DEC had a standoff with local farmers as to whether or not to allow the beavers to have their way. Both the Vista an III+ had no problem getting us within 12 feet of the cache. Dave took my picture. This will be the first photo of the Bowter at a cache taken from more than an arms length away.
