You can also drive, there is ample parking.

During the Summer months every Tuesday night at 7:00pm, the Marine Corps Bugle & Drum Band and the Silent Drill Team display their skills in an hour long performance. It is free to the public, just bring a blanket or lawn chair and find a spot to sit beneath the trees.

It's not easy to miss, you'll know what it is as soon as you get close.

It is one of the most famous images in the world and very likely will already be on your possible to-do lists while you're in the Washington DC area. Hopefully this cache will help you decide to come here.

To confirm your find please email the owners the answer to the following questions.

1. How many steps are there to the main level of the monument

2. Looking at the monument, what war (including years) appears above the photographers details.

3. Walk around to the other side, find the Boxer Rebellion. What war appears below it?

I am surprised I am second to find as this one as it is HUGE!
Pretty easy walk from Arlington cemetery and the metro. Thanks for taking me to a cache I most likely would not have visited.

WOW!!! FTF after SIX years!!! And my 2200th geocache!!!

This is also my 15th Navicache find.

Arrived about 0745 today to claim 3 caches based on this memorial and then do the caches at Arlington National Cemetery and then the Air Force memorial.

I've never actually been here, despite being a Washington native and lifelong resident of the area.

Thanks and Happy Trails!
