Located at the Tidal Falls Preserve, aka Sullivan Falls which is a reversing falls created by the tidal flow. Sorry, but no dogs are allowed. Rocks are VERY slippery. BE CAREFUL!

Follow RT.1 through Ellsworth toward Hancock/Sullivan. Before crossing the Sullivan bridge you will see a fork in the road. Go to the right. There is a sign before this point informing you of the tidal falls area. About seven tenths of a mile after the fork turn left onto Tidal Falls Rd. This will take you to the Preserve which also has a restaurant close by. It's a very popular area, especially at lunch & dinner and high tide. The biggest challenge in getting this cache may be doing it unnoticed. From the parking area proceed to the left side of the picnic table area. Find the double birch tree. The ONLY access to this cache is by shoreline. The private land is clearly marked by a wooden fence. Take the path to the left of the birch tree to the shore/rocks. This may be inaccessible at very high tides. I concealed it at high tide, but I noticed that some tides are up to 2 ft. higher. The cache is ok, but access may not be. Go to the left side. THE ROCKS ARE SLIPPERY IF WET! BE CAREFUL! Cache is in an ammo can. Take time to see the reversing tide, area sea fowl and seals. You can bring your own picnic or enjoy the cuisine of the Tidal Falls Restaurant if they are open.
