Interstate 95 heading North only.

Interstate 95 between Bangor and Houlton can be a long, boring drive…with the exception of Mile 252 heading north. A rest area is located here that provides a fantastic view of Mt. Katahdin and Salmon Lake Stream just below the parking area. I decided to place this cache here to provide drivers with a great view and a moment to stretch their legs. If you just want to see the view and get the cache, you can turn around 3 miles North at the Benedicta exit. If you park by the big boulder on the left as you enter the parking area, you will be within 80 ft. of the cache. The rest area is only open to traffic from May to October. The cache is a medium sized pill bottle, covered in camo tape, about 4 inches high so exchanges must be of a small nature. Original contents are: Maine pin, Sacajawea $, mother pin, Monday magnet, WG$ and a California Geocoin along with the log and a couple of pencils and a sharpener.
