Comments:
NOTE: During the rainy season, the dirt road gets pretty muddy. A car can probably make it through, but please be sensible and use caution. Also, during soccer season, this is a very busy place with little eyes everywhere.

Stage 1 gives only coordinates for Stage 2. Stage 2 is a regular-sized cache, placed in a 2 liter juice pitcher inside a plastic bag.

Stage 2 access is down a dirt road easily found by locating a sign that says: “No motorized vehicles beyond this point.” Ignore this sign. The gate is never locked. We contacted the El Dorado Irrigation District (who owns the property and runs the nearby pumping station) and the El Dorado Hills CSD (who does the upkeep and maintenance of the property) and they both said that it is ok to drive down the road to Sellwood Field (a public park soon to be expanded). Just be sure to stay on the road and park in the designated area.

Please do not search for Stage 2 after dark. Please respect our wishes, as we do not want anyone to look suspicious at this out-of-the-way location.

Be sure to read the interesting history of Bass Lake on the sign at the park.

Found this cache with no problem back in march of 2003. I got it off the geocaching website. It was the second cache I found. The dirt road to the cache site is closed now, due to construction, but the park is accessible from Serrano Parkway to the east.

Drats! I knew I shouldn't have washed my vehicle after Tuesday's 4x4 excursion. :D

Stage 1 took a little longer than expected... we should have approached with an open mind... but we had to check the objects that had obviously been moved... ;)

We found an exposed roll of film while searching!

It looks like it may have dropped out of someones pocket during a search. Please e-mail us if it belongs to you.

Now it's off to stage 2!

Portions of the dirt road were muddy. No need for 4 wheel drive... but I'm not one who misses an opportunity! 8D

We took a card and left a mini tape measure.

Thanks for the fun!
