Just a short hop off the road. Nice place to explore for views. Tall grasses, use caution!

Medium sized rubbermaid box has a small stash of incense, batteries, trash bags, pencils, log book, and a few other goodies. Leave something you wore with you to this site. The most important thing is to take a few monents to do the Zen thing and take in the moment. Photos will be posted to the website soon.
Enjoy the views.

Two finds on my first day out. This is a good time.
Excellent scenery.
Took the doll for my daughter's b-day. Had nothing
to replace it with, but will be returning with some
duct tape (excellent for tick removal).

Did this on the way home from a rehearsal in Poughkeepsie at 11:30 p.m. The sky was overcast, and it was a very dark night. Then a train came past ... Lots of fun! Thanks.

It's not safe for even one week! :) Decided to drop by this evening after work. (At 26mi, these evening mini-excursions sure are getting further out there. :) ) This is a beautiful park/reservation with a trail system going up the hill on the other side of the road. I took a few minutes to study the trail map by the parking lot and there sure is a lot of hiking potential around here. Maybe next time. I took an 'unofficial' trail straight to the cache. It's a nice easy meadow walk with views of the pastures and the railbridge. I took some photos of the train as it passed by. No problems finding the cache at all. GPS reception in this area was excellent because there were few trees. Took a ring and a small stone. Left a Hot Wheels car, a frog toy from Six Flags and some Where's George (http://www.wheresgeorge.com) dollar bills. Sorry, I couldn't leave anything I wore there. (might ugly up the countryside) Thanks for a nice evening walk. After that, I explored the surrounding towns and got a waffle cone ice cream and an inexpensive dinner. Perfect.
