I found it! 01 Dec 2004 by  hardware  (Finds: 7  Score: 26.5)    (Hidden: 2  Score: 7)

i made it! while i struck out at the first cache of the series, for reasons probably beyond my control, i was successful at cache two through six and had time left after a visit to purgatory to visit ‘tunnel.’

i was familiar with this tunnel thanks to rickrich’s placing of ‘moving 123’ inside of it last winter. so i knew a nearby place to park the volvo. while dyl’s description notes it may be hard to see, had i not read moe’s note about wanting a flashlight, i probably wouldn’t have had the foresight to bring one. it was a small flashlight, but it did exactly what i needed it to.

i intended to conquer this series during bicycling season, but never did. it would have been easier getting from point to point, but had the weather been nice, i would have been met by muggles on more than a few occasions. and my bike isn’t the best for this trail system, so i was better off doing this on foot, even if i repositioned the car a couple of times to get to all seven spots.

it was a decent december day to be out on the trails, and i’m glad i was. thanks for a great series of caches. here’s hoping i get to log a find for ‘park.’
