Piece of the Puzzle series #2 Lasser Park “Piece of the Puzzle #2, Lasser park” Welcome to the latest cache in the “Piece of the Puzzle” series. The first cache in this series is the weird NJ cache located on the Island on Beaver Dam Lake. Lasser Park appears to be one of the newest parks in the town of Blooming Grove. It is in the construction phase right now. Let me know if the work gets too near and it needs to be relocated. The initial contents are Incense and stone to burn it on , misc. first aid supplies, an AC/DC voltage checker, two mystery title books. And a set of drawer handles. Keep this exciting and fun by bringing something not recently purchased (like something from your basement or tool shed). You don’t need to exchange ‘value for value’. Try exchanging ‘interesting for interesting’ . This is a series because you have to find all five caches in order to ‘win’ the prize. The rules: 1. In each cache is a ‘passphrase’. copy it exactly as it is printed on the card in the log book. 2. Email me the list of all five ‘passphrases’ and the winner will receive the coordinates to find the Locking Baldwin Brass lever handle set. 3. extra credit can be earned by photographing yourself with a 15 lb bag of garbage you’ve collected on the trails. (remember, cache in trash out?). You can earn One ‘passphrase credit per bag of garbage collected. Feel free to Collect all the trash you can but I have to set a Two credit maximum. 4. This isn’t a regulated game of chance so I will award the ‘prize’ the person or team I decide has met the requirements. All decisions are final. 5. Persons perceived to be whining, sniveling, complaining or otherwise being a nuisance will be disqualified at my discretion. 6. Enjoy! Happy Trails, Kernbob |

Orange/Putnam cache dash! First stop of the morning. Had no problems getting here. Pretty much drove 17 then 208 then 94 without consulting a map as I'd been this way quite a number of times before. Found the park and parked right in front of the sign. Found a part of the stream that was only an inch or two deep so I just walked across. Splish splash. Came across a dead deer. It wasn't broken up all that badly. If its guts weren't ripped out, you'd think it was sleeping. Did a straight bushwhack to the cache from there. Why is there a milk jug hanging from one of the trees? No problem finding the cache. Once I got there, the cache was right in the first obvious spot I looked at. Swapped out a Where's George (http://www.wheresgeorge.com) dollar bill. Also took the Robin Hood figurine and left a rather out of season Valentine's Day bunny pin. Thanks.
