Rock Tavern is yet another entrance to the lands behind the Stewart Airport. “Piece of the Puzzle #5, Rock Tavern” Parking at the rock tavern Post Office. N 41 28.048, W074 10.995 Take the travel bug and use it as a key ring or attach something else to it and send it to the next cache. The first cache in this series is the weird NJ cache located on the Island on Beaver Dam Lake Piece of the Puzzle #1 The second one is at Lasser park Piece of the Puzzle #2 The third is at Maple Drive Piece of the Puzzle #3 The fourth one is at Piece of the Puzzle #4 , “Schunemunk South View” This is a series because you have to find all five caches in order to ‘win’ the prize. The rules: In each cache is a ‘passphrase’. copy it exactly as it is printed on the card in the log book. Email me the list of all five ‘passphrases’ and the winner will receive the coordinates to find the Locking Baldwin Brass lever handle set. extra credit can be earned by photographing yourself with a 15 lb bag of garbage you’ve collected on the trails. (remember, cache in trash out?). You can earn One ‘passphrase credit per bag of garbage collected. Feel free to Collect all the trash you can but I have to set a Two credit maximum. This isn’t a regulated game of chance so I will award the ‘prize’ the person or team I decide has met the requirements. All decisions are final. Persons perceived to be whining, sniveling, complaining or otherwise being a nuisance will be disqualified at my discretion. Enjoy! Happy Trails, Kernbob |

Orange/Putnam cache dash! I originally planned to do Maple Drive first but I completely missed that entrance so I decided to go for this one first. There is a sign in the post office parking lot that parking is not allowed from noon Saturday to midnight Sunday. What's up with that? Anyway, I arrived at 11am and made it out well before noon so I guess I was okay. Very easy walk on the paved trail. As for the last 50 ft, let's just say I didn't take the easiest route. Talk about bushwhacking! Saw the cache just sitting there completely exposed so it was an easy find. Swapped out a Where's George (http://www.wheresgeorge.com) dollar bill. Thanks.
