PLEASE PARK at N44.55.370 W93.32.270, which is the Deephaven City Hall. This parking is optimally placed for both legs of this cache.

This 2-stage multicache will take you on a short tour around the historic Cottagewood area of Deephaven, including the famous Cottagewood General Store. The store is open from May 15th (or so) thru the summer season.

At the first stage, you will be across the street from the Cottagewood General Store. Here you will find 3 children sitting on a log over a pond. The children are always here, and they are always having a good time.

In front of the children is an animal. Add up the letters of the one word name of the animal, using A=1, B=2, C=3, ... Z=26. Then add 255 to that to get the last 3 digits of the N coordinate for the final cache.

Behind the children is another animal. Add up the letters of the one word name of the animal. Then add 29 to that to get the last 3 digits of the W coordinate for the final cache.

The final cache is then located at:

Follow the sidewalks and trails from the first stage to the final cache. There is no need to walk on the road to get to the final cache (although you will have to cross it in a few places). The final cache is a super micro that is winter friendly. Please be stealthy when retrieving the final micro because muggles are often seen in this area.
