Old West gold mining town.

27 miles, south of Lander on Hwy. 287 There are two old gold mining ghost towns, "South Pass", and "Atlantic City". There is plenty to see, and do here if you’re a history buff.
Drive west of Atlantic City 1 mile, park, then it's just a short hike up a fairly steep hillside. Cache is in an ammo can. Beware of a roving band of goats that guard this cache.
Cache includes:

CD
Troll
Carved wood key chain
Noise maker
Harry Potter collector stones
Tiny Beanie
Gold panning book/sample of real gold

Nice cache! We grumbled all the way to the top of this hill as we scrambled up the loose rock, but WOW the climb was worth it. I'm glad we didn't have to climb in sandles like one of the previous visitors mentioned in their log. We left a sealed tin of Cinnamon Altoids, a blue superball (that looks like a #2 pool ball) and a green ring. In exchange we took a calculator and a pair of sunglasses. Thanks for the great cache, we really enjoyed the adventure. Also, I recommend visiting the nearby town of South Pass if you get the chance, we discovered that spot on the way here and I'm glad we did! Thanks again Bearguy!
