Apache tears? Not unless they were as big as your fist.
These Black rocks were used to make stone knives and arrow
heads. There are more than a few of them here. There is a
mountain side full of them and they cover the valley below.
How they come to be in this deep sand I have no idea. Bring a sifter and you can load your truck. Never have I seen a place like this. There must be a million tons of it in the sand.
It is good dirt road up to the last mile. But then its a 4x4 trail. Several people have found arrow heads here.

I assume you were looking for apache tears? If you were going cross country you missed the road that leads to it.
Email me and I will give you a topo map showing the road and location.
If you were in Goldfield you should have came over to my
house. Anyone in town will tell you where I live and you can see a car sticking nose down, out of the ground.
Hope to see you some time.

I was there and could not locate the cache. Either it was not easily locatable or it has been moved. I will try again, maybe next spring.

It was an interesting venture. However, I think the terrain level of '1' is inaccurate, since the last 3/4 mile was cross-country.
