Let me see if I can guide you through this gorge-ous trail. I know some of the veteran cachers tend to stay on trails but this one is very tempting. Should you be a geo-phite, or even a veteran, who is sure you are going the wrong way; heed the words, and take the hand of Road Kill. Stay on the trail (Grin). Prof and Road Kill discovered this place in the 16,180 acre Finger Lakes National Forest that lies between the lakes of Seneca and Cayuga. Road Kill was surprised that no caches were within 4 miles of this great spot. There is another discovery to be made here that has to do with dates. You will find further instructions on the 1st page in the log book. When you find this cache and know the secret of the ring, enter the right date in the log without revealing the significance of the date you provide. According to the instructions some may add alpha characters to the date but, if done right, the secret will belong only to those who visit this cache.
PS: Trees and gorges can be brutal to GPS Signals. Prof & Road Kill are grinning. |

I was in town this weekend for the sports car races at the Glen, and had time to find this cache tonite. Got there late in the evening after it had rained. The trail was in poor shape after alot of horseback riders had been on it and the rain made it muddy. Beautiful area for a cache. I'm glad someone finally put a cache here. If I had more time I'd like to come back here to explore the trails more. Cache didn't take long to find, which was a good thing because it was getting dark!!
