Located in the village of Depew, NY. Rehm Rd. Park has several short hiking trails.
This cache is designed to challenge the Multi-Cache Masters .
NOTE: This park is open Dawn to Dusk only. There are no pets allowed.
This cache was going to be called another name. Upon hearing the news, that a great cacher from WNY is relocating out to the Pacific Northwest, I decided to rename it to A =Geo= Tribute .
Sometimes, we meet new people and become friends. Other times, we know of people, and never met, and wish we had. =Geo= is one of the latter. I learned so much about geocaching, from doing many of his caches. I therefore, dedicate this cache to =Geo= as a tribute for his teachings. Some of his cahes were easy and others tested you to your limit , but they were all in nice places. Thank You =Geo=.

This is a multi use area, besides the hiking trails, there are baseball diamonds and a golf driving area.
Note: NO pets allowed. This cache is winter accessible. You could x-country or snowshoe this one as well.

This cache is designed to challenge the multi cache masters , it might be above and beyond your skills to take this challenge. You are more than welcome to try to solve this one.
This is a Geometric Scavenger Hunt of a sort. You will need to locate 4 permanent geometric objects, and calculate, to find the full size ( 50 cal. ) cache and solve this puzzle.
Each leg has two parts and will require you to count, and do some figuring, a calculator is not necessary. Bring a writing instrument and this sheet to do the figuring. The trails can be muddy and hold water at times, especially after a rain. Wear boots. I used the trails to hide the micro and final cache.

The starting coordinates are the parking area outside the gate, N 4255.673 x W 07842.460
1) Head south from the parking lot to start your quest.
2) Find the 1st object, walk thru it 85 paces from the south edge to find the 2nd object.
3) The second object is in view and is multi-level, count the perpendiculars _____, count the linear's _____ .
3) Walk the trails, find the third object shape, count the perpendiculars _____, count the linear's _____.
4) Walk the trails, find the fourth object shape, count the perpendiculars _____, count the linear's _____.

You now have the required numbers, to replace the decimal portions of the latitude and longitude respectfully, and in sequence to the decimal form, for the new coordinates, of the micro cache. The micro holds the coordinates to the final cache. Please put it back exactly the way you found it. Remember to trade fairly.

The Original Contents are:

Well, tonight (08/17/04) was bitter sweet. After three atttempts of trying to arrange a meet with The Great White Urkel and the Moms - MrMom, MsBusymom and The Goo over the past two weeks, we finall got together. After a quick de-briefing, as to how the area and cache use to be laid out, we set out to hunt it. THE FINAL HUNT, as one put it!

The Bitter Side: Much of the area has been scrapped to raw dirt. The hiking trails are almost non-existant. Very few trees are still standing, including the area around all the objects, the micro, and the final cache. Oh what a sad :( :( site to see.

The Sweet Side: After intro's : Yes - it's true The Great WhiteUrkel does exist..

As we walked and talked, GWU did the math, as I guided them thru what's left of the trails. I even had a hard time, finding one object myself. The walk was a quick one, due to heavy machinery hard at work! Onward to the final, The Goo couldn't wait to get near the cache, to really start hunting. It warmed my heart to see the kid so eager to find the cache. It wasn't that hard due to most trees and cover being scrapped away. It almost stood out. The Goo said Huckle-Buckle and we trudged on to recover the cache. As everyone signed in, I promptly removed all parts, of the final cache. We headed back to the gate continuing to geochat as we walked. GWU had to boogie, so the Moms, Goo and I discussed some caches and ideas.

I'll be thinking of somewhere else to place this cache. Long live -=(Geo)=- and his Tribute Cache!

Hmm. First to find, yet last to find! "Found" the cache with the owner, Mr. Mom, Ms. BusyMom, and The Goo, and it was pulled by the owner afterwords, as a golf course is going in the park. Thanks SF1, I still have plenty more of yours to find, and I'm looking forward to seeing this one replaced.

MrMom and I got an invitation from the cache owner to join him in finding this one before he removed it because of the area construction. And, not only did we get a find, we got to finally meet White Urkel! Contrary to what I beleived, he truly does exist. It was neat to watch all the large equipment working away as we walked around the park to the different legs of the cache. Reached the final location at 7:15pm, signed log and TNLN.
Thanks, Strikeforce, for the invite, the tour, and the cache!
