This is a multi-cache mostly along trails in game lands with some great views, though the views are best when leaves are off the trees.

The theme of the cache is state names. If you trade, try to bring something that has the name of a state or another country on it. I’ve really enjoyed geocaching when I travel. It’s a great way to see the sights in other areas, including cities. It’s also a way to find out about interesting places that I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. I started the cache with something from states in which I’ve been geocaching. Pins, magnets or keychains from Alaska, California, Idaho, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Texas are in the cache. Other states and 2 countries have been added.

During spring gobbler season hunters can hunt from ½ hour before sunrise until Noon. Please check the hunting seasons before you go into the game lands. During Spring gobbler season hunters wear a minimum of 100 total square inches of fluorescent orange on the head and/or a safety band on chest and back which can be seen 360 degrees except on Sundays. From Nov 15 to Dec 15, the minimum is 250 total square inches on your head and chest and back.

Mountain bikes are not allowed on these trails. You are looking for 35 mm film canisters for the first stages of this cache. The cache itself is a small ammo box. Please replace all cache containers hidden as you found them. Parking in the lots may be hard during the winter months.

Finally we found this one without any problems today. We were here on Saturday after the picnic and had quite an adventure. We went the wrong way and had to bushwhack about a half mile which turned out to be quite a workout. When we finally arrived at stage two we searched and searched then ran out of time and had to head back to camp. We went after this one right after work this evening and had really nice hike with just a few sprinkles. Well when we got to the infamous part two I walked right up to the cache, we didn't even have to look. What a difference from Saturday when we spent over an hour searching. The hike to final cache location was really nice this is the kind of trails I really like. I am definitely planning on coming back to hike the other trails in the area. Thanks MapLady for the adventure and showing me a new place to hike. I left a United States keychain and a matchbook from Delaware. I took a Red Rocks and Rolls magnet and a Lizard.

Thanks for the hunt.

Hey Maplady!!!
I had to go back for this one this morning after I broke camp. I figured I'd just run in, find it, and get out, but boy was I wrong!!!
You really got me with the 2nd stage yesterday! Thanks to my two new friends I met Saturday!! We did a bit of bushwacking to get from stage one to stage two, only to find Rich poking around with a stick and a flashlight. We decided to join in on the search and mayhem unsued!! We were unsuccessful in finding the clue and decided that we needed to get to the picnic before PSUPaul ate all the food!! (j/k)
I couldn't leave the area without going back for it today though. I found the 2nd clue right where I'd checked yesterday. Thanks for getting that cleared up. I went on to the 3rd spot and realized that you are a cacher after my own heart!! I don't remember the last cache I've had so much fun bushwacking in!! I think, at one point, I almost stopped to take a break. I couldn't though because the bugs were in full force and wanted my blood!!
I found the cache finally, after cursing my gps for running me around for 15 minutes. I left a Maine pin from my bag and a lizard. I took a chess piece for my troubles. It looks nice next to the red ones I have.
Thanks for the great hike!!! Until next time...
Trusty
