Found this over two trips to my parents. It was a fun cache. Parked up on top near the lake for the first two stages and then later found 3 caches including the last stage of this one. I love Rickettes Glen, and hiking the falls in the winter is one of my near term goals. Anyhow I wanted to Advertise my cache up at Hunters Lake, I want someone from here to find it first before posting it on the other site.

Open Log: Non-commercial use only I did this cache and a few others before and after the "Red Rock and Rolls!" event (GCD737) with Lep, SlimJim, Tonsil, Mopar, MissJenn, and Enfanta. We did it one piece at a time and used every available bit of info that we could get from the hints on the cache page, your website, and from cachers at the picnic who had done this cache before. We minimized the amount of walking and maximized the usage of fossil fuels to get it and some other Ricketts Glen caches done in one day. We did stage one in conjuction with Cachier's Mountain Lake Siding cache and stage two on a detour from the Falls Hike after the picnic. We did the final stage after completing a prearranged car shuttle at the end of the Falls Hike. This cache would have been a killer if we had hiked the whole thing but I wish that we had done it that way. Maybe. I found two of the three caches mostly because I was the one who had looked at the website and saw the pics. Thanks for a great cache! Johnny.

It took us 3 tries, but we finally finished it. Thanks for the great trip, but one note, don't hike in Ricketts Glen the day after 5 inches of rain...unless you have duck boots! We had to forge across some new streams and mini ponds on the trails. Took some stuff and left some stuff, including the American Hero Travel bug.

I finally made it back for this one!! I came in and did part two last night, camped out by the lake, and finished the 3rd part this morning. It is very beautiful up there!!! I think this will be a favorite campsite for me for years to come.

Open Log: Unrestricted Wow! Now I know what a 4/4 geocache means! Good rating. Hawken and I went to Stage 1 and 2 after doing the Mountain Spring Lake Siding cache. We weren't too sure we were going to do Stage 3 today, but finally decided to do it. We got to the cache around 7:30 PM. Cache is in good shape (as are Stage 1 and 2). I took the lock and left a ceramic chess piece and a good mystery book.
