Nice easy hike on well maintained trails.
Park at the following coordinates N 41 20.455 W 075 53.303. Walk down the steps and straight to the woods to get to the trail. To reach the cache stay on the well maintained trails until you get close to the cache. You shouldn't have to bushwhack until you are about 200-300 ft. away. The trail continues around in a very nice loop if you don't want to hike back the way you came. The entire loop is only about 1.6 miles. The cache is a ammo box which contains a log book, cache camera, ponchos, flashlight, Little Mermaid cookie cutters, lightstick, Redhat Linux 8.0 CD's, pocket knife, mini screwdriver set, crayons, notepad, and some other stuff. |

It was nothing less than beautiful today! And we picked the perfect cache for such a day. After all the suburb caching this past winter, it was a delight to get back on the trails. We found the cache with no problem. All is good inside. The spot you picked was custom made for a geocache. We took a pic with the cache cam(#11), read the logs and signed in ourselfs. We took a roll of film, a coin and the medicine stone. We left behind 2 koosh balls, a Brazilian coin, and an Nsync motion card.

Open Log: Unrestricted Found it and it was a quick one since I wanted to get out of the park before the gates closed at sunset - darn this non-daylight savings time! In fact I ran down the hill and was the next to last car out of the park. The bushes just before you get into the pines are a great place for seeing birds in the Spring. I took a different set of trails (some of them older and unmarked) to get to the cache area more quickly. It was nice to meet Team Geo-Remdation at the cars! I've figured out how to meet geocachers now, go to new caches! I took a hand warmer and left a folded up trash bag and an Alaska pin. Thanks for another cache in the park.

Nice hike. We found it without any problem. The Pines are really neat. Left TB Spongebob, a ball for future four legged trailblazers, some state park maps, and a light stick, took a compass keychain, bubble toy, and the multi screwdriver. On the way back to the car we saw two deer right off the trail. We also saw a snapping turtle, 2 ducks, a bluejay, and a cardinal. I was surprised at how many walkers/hikers there were on a Monday evening in the fall. At the car we met Maplady just starting out for the cache. We had crossed caches before but never met. Nice talking to you Maplady!
