Access is off of Estes Drive, just south of the railroad tracks. There is a place to park along the road. Easy hike or bike except for a short steep stretch at the beginning, and a short hill climb at the end.

Please start from the trailhead at N 35d 55.328m, W 079d 04.318m. The cache may be found by following nice trails to within the last 100 or 200 feet, so save the woods and minimize your bushwhacking... Head up the old dirt roadbed for a hundred feet or so, and take the first trail leading off to your right. It winds over toward the railroad and Bolin Creek.

This is a wonderful area to hike and mountain bike, and to bring your canine for a workout. There are miles of trails winding through woods along the creek and up and down the hills to the northeast of it. The creek is full of boulders. and there are numerous small waterfalls.

I'm not sure if all this property is publicly owned, but it's a very popular recreation area in Chapel Hill/Carrboro, so I am sure geocachers should have no problems traversing it.

The container is an army-green ammo box. It's far enough from nearby trails that you shouldn't attract too much attention looking for it in the final stretch, but it's still best to be somewhat discrete, as there are usually quite a few folks around.

We did this one right after Bolin Island and Hole in the Wall - they make a good threesome. Amelia found this one. Took a mechanical pencil, left a Duke-labeled screen cleaner. Thanks for the cache!

Found this cache yesterday while in the area on business. If I would have known that there were other caches around here I would have stayed longer to try and find them. This made for a great adventure away from home and I enjoyed every step of the way.
I must have looked funny walking around with a suit and shoe's looking for an ammo box.
Great job of placing this cache and very nice quality over the usual plastic cup size containers I have seen around.
Logged in and took nothing but the memory and pix.
I thank you for the great time!

Oh!...by the way, if anyone finds a very cheap set of sun glasses, they were mine, not worth looking for so if you se them they are yours!
