Picked up the Limo today needs some TLC moving it up island seeing the Vic. group don't seem interested anymore.

Went by yesterday & it's still there ...very near a ccouple large tree's ...not too far from the road...not the Arbutus!

Was going out to Loss creek to retrieve the Limo last Sunday. Guess I was a little late! Tried to catch the Limo on June 22nd & 23rd but no can find! Saw the carpet and various other goodies in the bushes but no Limo. Maybe I'll bring a fresh set of eyes out, it couldn't hurt!

I am going to retrieve the limo today and will post new #s tonight. Not only have I placed it past the western boundry but it has also been more than a month and no cachers have searched it out.

We made an attempt for the cache near dusk last night but racinkid and I could not find. Hail went back this morning with BFL and has the cache. Flagging tape install and the cache is in transit, we will rehide soon. Thankx

Drove past the western border for this cache, so I hid it on the way back. A couple of pix to follow. The Limo is parked @ N48 23.370 W123 53.620 If you are facing up the cache is on your right.

After a "Heart attack hike" I found the Limo, shook out the cobwebs, and took it down the mountain. Will tune it up and get it back on the road ASAP. I am fairly new to this site and according to the Limos' page I am to "Contact a cacher" how do I do this?

It looks like the cache has not been found within the time limit in rule #4 the previous hider must re-hid it in a more accessible location if not found within 30 days.

Boo and I were out looking for ZigZag and found it nestled alongside the Limo. I picked them both up and will rehide them both separately. Thanks viguy for the introduction to navicache.

South island Navicachers seem to be getting a little lazy!! I've added a partner to the location to make it now a "two for". A genuine tryst, nestled together. Only a 10 minute walk from parking at N48d 29.852 W123d 31.956, just off Finlayson Arm Rd. Go get them!! :)

Rehidden at N48d 30.039 W123d 32.237, under some bark next to a small rotten log. A 'geocaching.com' micro located not too far away held an interesting "bonus" as of this morning!! Difficulty 1.5, Terrain 2.5 from Viart gate. Great view, especially at sunset!!

After a nice event at Mt Bolduc I took the limo on another tour of a road I always just drive by without exploring. I parked the limo very near to a bright red spot at:
48 53.158 123 41.742

Grabbed it this morning from a patch of ivy. Ugh. PLenty of yard work going on barely 20m from the cache. Glad I didnt have to put it back!!!

Now to find another road to explore :-)

This poor thing has been sitting out there so long I had to rescue it. It was very well disguised as mother nature had taken over forcing me to to remove several trees using it as a nurse log and one birds nest!

Now to find another "roads we always drive by" to go and explore.

We were barreling down the parkway doing about 165 when the right front tire blew..... It's not pretty, going to take more then bondo to fix this puppy up now. You can find the wreck wrapped around a tree at 49N 11.390 124W 00.406

So we were out for a nice walk and what do we find?...A perfect Limo parked in the woods. Out came the 'slim jim', had the door open in 10 seconds.... another five and the ignition was punched, a quick turn with the screwdriver and off we went.... Oh Oh maybe this is a Bait Car cause we just passed an under cover cop driving a blue van...
I see his brake lights come on and he trys to do a quick 180 but we're too fast and lose him.....
We'll joyride Limo around Nanaimo today and try and dump it later or first thing tommorrow.... Yeeeehaaaa

Found this afternoon by Viguy. Previous driver had obviously imbibed too much at the nearby winery, and turned left when he should have turned right. While ascending the slippery snow covered road, the Limo appears to have slewed off the slippery ice landing under a log by the ditch, whilest narrowly missing a very skinny flagpole!! The driver was nowhere to be seen, but the Limo is perfectly O.K. and has been rescued to be relocated to an area that should remain free of snow.

I never imagined when I started this cache (at the insistence of the Cache Raiders), that it would last so long, and be such a huge hit! I wanted to thank all of you for maintaining the limo, and taking such good care of it. I'm sure that one of these days it will be back in my garage so I can have a look at how well it's fared in it's travels, before sending it out on another road trip. Thanks again to all of you have found it, and good luck to those of you who have yet to find it!

While driving around I found 2 travelling bugs, so we went
for a ride together. Left the hiway travelling the wrong
direction ( south ) landed right between a group of trees,
upon impact a hand full of maple leaves fell from the cedar trees to cover the Limo.

We were too late - arrived about 11 am today to find the flagging tape. The tape said it was found at 6 pm last night...pitty it wasn't logged in a more timely manner as it would have saved us a trip. We were looking forward to our first Navicache find.

Tank was just about empty after checking out Victoria’s Christmas lights, so we headed back up Island for some cheap gas.

Left a little Christmas Bonus in the limo, for the next lucky cacher.

Mud was flying as I drove the limo up the steep muddy slope and back onto the path.

Buzzle's Rail clearing crew was out early this morning after pulling another alnighter. I had to zip out and scoop this at 5AM by the light of my dying light. Got it home and took out a Zone cd and some smiley magnets and installed a geojewellery kit and a Grand Forks letter opener

The Limo was in a couple of accidents. One was totalled, the other was a burnt out vehicle, (they were good hiding spots ). It's not the accidents we are worried about, it's the mechanical condition of your car. ( The brakes, the tranny, the engine,) But don't worry the Guys are all chipping in and are fixing her up ,piece by piece. She is still clean and shinny though.( or at least last time I saw her. Tell you what: I will try and find her next, and give you a full report on her condition.

OK, I updated the mileage........you guys HAVE been busy!! As it stands, by my rough calculations, Limo has travelled over 2300km in the 8 months it's been on the road!! That's about 290km a month! Thanks again, and let's keep 'er rolling! Out of curiosity, I saw a reference to an 'accident' on a couple of occasions......was that just keeping things in the 'car' vein, or did it meet with some misfortune along the way? Just curious......Have fun!

Hey group!! Sorry I've been MIA around here for a few months. It's been really busy at work, and lots of other things going on. Thanks to all of you for taking such good care of the Limo, and for having so much fun with it. I have updated the date and the coordinates, and will update the distance traveleld once I've calculated it. You guys have been busy!! Thanks again for tkaing good care of it! And to clarify, yes, hiding it sooner is better. The 7 day thing is the maximum amount of time you should have it before rehiding it. You all have done an awesome job of keeping up with everything. Early this morning (4:00am)I was sitting back and enjoying the ride to work when we screeched to a stop. A MIB (that's Man In Black) pulled open the driver's door and said "I need this vehicle for a matter of national security". With that he tossed the driver out and we took off... "Where are we going?" I asked. "To drop you off at work (CRUD thinks me) then I am heading to New Mexico to look into a matter of "Unknown Origin".

The police have done their investigation and identified the car to be towed. They reported an object flying out of the drivers window , landing safely about 14' from the accident site. One should hurry so that the clue may still be of help.

Cache is now PARKED at N48d 28.154' W123d 29.007' I had some difficulty getting reproducable readings here, even out in the open. Therefore I have tied a quite obvious piece of lime green flagging to a low plant next to the cache. Perhaps the finder could replace this with a piece of pink flagging once the cache has been located. I would give it a rating of Difficulty 1.5/Terrain 2.25 Happy hunting!

I somehow resisted the urge to go get Limo last night as it's accident site was close to home. Checked this morning to see if it may have been removed from the scene and because it had not, I fired up the old tow truck and headed over.
The limo survived the horrific wreck without a scratch but that other car was a complete write off. Thankfully everyone walked away unhurt. 8*)

Cache was hidden a couple of days ago, but I realized I forgot to put the flagging tape back in! A return visit to the cache location and now its all set to go again.

Two Travel Bugs have been added and placed on the SI MINI cache page.

Picked this one up in the early morning VERY near to another tricky cache... Thanks for the hide VIGuy. Now to *stretch* out in the Limo for the drive North!

Also my thanks CR for keeping it alive too.

The cache now contains an X-Treme CD#9 and is rehidden near E 478575 N 5368555. Reception here is a bit spotty, but excellent at a nearby clear area. The coordinates will put you very close to a numbered red and white 'marker'. The sum of the individual digits of its number equals 7. From this marker proceed 4 paces (the modern kind, of single steps) on a bearing of approximately 210 degrees True to the cache nestled in ivy.

Scooped it at 4:30 pm. Just as the heavens opened up. Thank God for the hint! GPSr put me about 5 metres on the wrong side of the trail, on a deer trail. Searched it and got SOAKED! Returned to main trail and then saw the log. Easily found. GPSr now saying 22 metres away. Funny how torrential rain, heavy clouds, and dripping trees can screw things up!!!! Will rehide tomorrow. Thanks!

Coverage was spotty at the time we hid it, so here's a clue to make it easy: look behind the ivy-covered log, about 5 meters off the path.

We took a whitebear and a squishy finger puppet from the cache. Since the camera was full, we left a new disposable camera. We left the old camera in the cache and emailed the cache owner to say it was full. Our other trade was some photo paper.

I actually hid it Monday & forgot to log it here (you know memory problems =older people).Closer to town at 48 27.835 N 123 25.227W .No bushwacking required this time!

I came & picked it up in the afternoon today,thought I would check but suppected it would be long gone.The Sat gods were not friendly today but persisted and won!Great little trail.

I did have a quick look, actually. The birds weren't helping me too much, and I had forgotten the clue, so it was kinda frustrating. Then a neighbour came along and asked me if I was lost. I guess they don't get too many people wandering around looking at the ground. I said I was enjoying the park, and he grudgingly admitted that I wasn't on private property. Between the satellite geometry and the suspicious/curious attitude of the natives, I decided I'd had enough for that day. Maybe someone else will have better luck. It's a great little trail system!

Caching crew? Cyberchasers? Bueller? Anyone? I'll go tomorrow if it's not gone by then!

Boy, it's been 3 days since it's been hidden!! Do I have to go and find it again? I thought it would have been long gone by now!

By the way, if you look inside the small tree with the hole in it, you just might find another cache, that happens to be listed on the 'other' site. There is a travel bug in there that needs to move on. If you want to take him, please do, but you'll have to log him on the other site. He's in a Ziploc bag with a pen. If you take him, please put the 'mini' cache in the bag with the pen when you rehide it in the tree.

Yay!!!! I finally found it! We were up this way to drop some things off with bcrockcrawler, as well as to enjoy the air conditioning in the Cache Cruiser. Ahhhhh..........
We had the coords for the second most recent hiding place, and were on our way there, when we passed the RockCrawler on the way there as well. He confirmed that Limo had been found and rehidden. We visited for a bit, then off to find the Limo! I love the idea of marking the # of times each person has found it inside the lid (Cache Raiders and GG-great idea!) The Limo took an air conditioned cruise back down island. Great hide, Raiders! OK, Victoria folks, it's your turn!!

Fair enough. We are not disputing that the tape is missing. However, the fact is that we tagged the location and we don't appreciate you accusing us of not doing that.
That being said, after the location has been tagged no cacher should be responsible for the false removal of the tape. We are just fellow cachers being accused of something we have not done.

The limo is parked beside a lake at the base of the southernmost of two large trees. I piled some forest debris on it to prevent detection and I was careful not to scratch the paint while doing so. The trees are filled with the happy songs of numerous birds enjoying the warm sunshine so its a great place for a peaceful walk... but it IS possible to drive to within 2m of the cache!!! (I walked)

Had really bad GPS coverage today at the site; the Magellan was giving 30 m EPE and the Garmin 70. That made for a big area to search, and as there's a lot of salal here, I had to admit defeat after 45 minutes, as I had an appointment.

Cache is rehidden as of 18:00 today at N48 29.823 W123 26.003 - almost wheelchair accessible!! I give it a 1/1! Enjoy!

Couldn't resist. Picked it up at about 8:00 pm only 2200 metres from where I live. Great evening for a beach walk!! Actually, I did it twice - once to grab the cache, and then again to retrieve my eTrex that I had left on a log at the cache site! Grrrr. I currently have it, and will rehide it tomorrow. The Limo is parked by the tracks at N 48 21.187 W 123 33.479 it's under the roots of an old fir tree X marks the spot, you don't have to go all the way to college to find this cache have fun.I took out a couple of ducks out to make room for a spare battery holder.

Nice area I've been to before found with no problem the cache is very full I will leave on this end of the island for now I may move it next time.

Accuracy was only 10 meters, but this should still be an easy find. You need to be on a secondary trail close to the parking lot. Look for the hollow stump with the v-shaped slit.
By the way, we took 2 signature items for our growing collection and left a small LED and $5.00.

OK, sorry folks, 2 family disasters yesterday and this afternoon. (everbodys fine) Parked the Limo at 19:00 in an undeveloped park. N49 12.106 W124 01.776
We took moose #79 and replaced him with a moose called Limo, took a CD holder to make room for the camera from VI Transit, left $5, and xstitcher added a cross stitch kit.
Regarding the camera, when it's finished taking pics of cachers, e-mail cacherunner and we will develop the pics and post them here and on the archived VI Transit cache page.

Got here at about 5 PM, and basically trashed the lakeshore 60 meters from where the actual cache was. Went back to the Galley and "asked" for it. Cache rehid at N48 46.652, W123 55.513, Look in the root hole made by a fallen tree.

Here is the moment everyone has been waiting for... I have left the LIMO. Where? Well it (and I) were running on empty so we stopped for a refuelling! If you need any hints just "ask"... but not ME!

Up early for the drive down to Victoria... at least I got to ride around in a LIMO for the rest of the day. I was quite lucky to get there first this morning as I had to leave the house at 4:20...

Now where to hide it... considering that I roam quite freely from Victoria to Port Alberni to Courtenay there is a lot of ground to choose from!
