Don't take your car unless you want a long hike, it won't have the clearance needed to get to the area. Elevation is 6327 feet and you won't be able to access it in the winter months prior to May 1st as the area is usually deep in snow and closed for migrating elk and deer herds. Easy short hike to the cache. The cache is hidden in an ammo box customed painted in camo colors. It is hidden in the desert area so I placed desert themed items in it. A small first aid kit, bug repellent bracelet, and waterprof matches. We saw two Golden Eagles fly up when we approached the area of the cache and evidence shows they have been in the area for some time so keep your eye out for them. The area offers a unique view of something you wouldn't know was even there until you get there. A disposable camera is also included for taking each finders picture when you get there. |

Open Log: Non-commercial use only The site was beautiful. The golden eagles were on the nest with and egg in it. Didn't find the cache because we didn't want the eagles off the egg very long. Will try again when it is a little warmer.
