You either take a 4X4 truck or you walk in 3 miles and out 3 miles. The road down in it has major rocks to navigate. Even in a 4X4 you will scratch it up and bang bottom on a few rocks. If it is wet due to weather then I would plan on walking if you like your vehicle. The elevation is 6001. The cache is an ammo box with my own custom paint job. Original contents are, small metal teddy bear picture frame, Kelly O Beary the stuffed Teddy, and a ceramic black bear with a trout in his mouth. There is also a camera for you to take a self portrait. Please leave the camera and let me know when it is finished so I can replace it. The cache offers some of Idaho's most beautiful scenery. Beware of the fact that this area is inhabited with Grizzly Bears. Pack pepper spray or my personal choice a 44 mag. The only tangle we had while placing the cache, a rock chuck about ran over us while climbing a steep trail. We also rescued 5 lost hikers on our way out. Geocaching to the rescue. |
