This virtual multi-cache will take you to three excellent locations in the city of Athens, Greece. All three are within walking distance of each other. Allow the better part of a day for this cache since there is much to see at these locations and along the way. One of the places is very popular with tourists, and the other two provide beautiful vistas of the city and environs. These locations are not handicapped accessible.

The first location N 37 58.914, E 23 44.592 requires that you either take a unique conveyance or climb many stairs. To climb the stairs, enter at Kleomenous Street (37 58.778, E 23 44.574). When you arrive at the cache location, you must record the year on the new plaque and count the number of red courses (layers) of red bricks on this structure. Now, multiply the number of red courses by 13 and look in that general direction. That will show you the next two locations of this multi-cache.

In transit to the second cache location, you can pickup the ATHINA KIPOS cache (not a requirement, but nice cache in the National Gardens). When you arrive at the second location - N 37 58.046, E 23 43.292, you must record the number of statues sitting on the top level of the monument, and number of horses pulling the chariot on the next level down. On the way (either up or down), stop at - N 37 58.169, E 23 43.256 to see a famous prison. Record the number of caves and the prisoner who was thought to have stayed there.

Finally, go to perhaps the most famous Athenian landmark at - N 37 58.277, E 23 43.430. On the left side of the entrance gate (before paying admission), there are two plaques one in English and the other in Greek. Record the date of the English language plaque, and the geometric figure on the Greek language plaque.

To receive credit for this cache, you must email me (mweiss2@nycap.rr.com) the information recorded at the three locations:

Site 1 Number of courses (layers) of red brick and date on the new plaque.
Site 2 Number of sitting statues on the top level and number of horses on the second level.
Extra credit number of caves and name of prisoner.
Site 3 Date of English language plaque on left and geometric figure on Greek language plaque on right.

Enjoy the views!
