In former times the St.Pietersberg reached more to the south, but since 1928 it is divided for the sake of the Albert-Channel.
Park your car at N 50° 48.360' E 005° 41.397'. Now take the left way up and follow this way until you reach the top of the plate. The cache is hidden near a view point at N 50° 47.796' E 005° 41.245'. If you are going to search for all Caestert caches we would propose to visit them in this order: 1. Lost Castle, 2. Cut here! 3. Lost Valley. |

The third cache of the Castert-tour and the the second hightlight for today. Also a hight spot here!. I felt a little dizzy standing here on top of the ridge. Until now I didn't know about this astonishing canal. Thanks for the cache! (Subsequent NC log)

What a spectacular viewpoint! After the hike through the forest and along the field, the abrupt cliff with the view onto the Canal Albert and the opposite wall with famous Fort Eben Emael really comes as a nice suprise! Thanks to Captain Cook for showing us/me this spot!
