Stash is located near the 'Ruta de los Volcanes', on the rooftop of La Palma at the altitude of 1844 m.

The cache is a rubbermaid type box, wrapped in several plasticbags (box itself is probably NOT waterproof!). Buried directly behind a big Pine-Tree (hillside of trunk). Location is covered with a small stone-pyramid.

Watch out for a big branched tree (for mathematicians & physicists: branches look psi-shaped, quite near the ground). Dig under the stone-pyramid (about 30 cm). But keep in mind, the pyramid will soon be covered with pine-needles, so you might have to look for it carefully ;-)

Contents:

  • SUN-jojo

  • small bell

  • candle

  • SUN-pin

  • a rare 'Philadelphia' plastic knife

  • frame (for photos)

  • a heart & intestine (self growing ;-)

  • Escher nano puzzle

  • logbook

  • pencil

  • sharpener

The whole region seems to be wildfire-endangered, so please be careful. Please be sure to have rebuild the location properly, when leaving. We hope you'll enjoy the trip as much as we did - the whole 'Ruta de los Volcanes' is 17 km - great views over the island included!

We found the cache after a 3.5h (incl. breaks, taking pictures, etc.) walk across the vulcanos.
Great tour, fantastic landscapes and after a few minutes of searching, we found the mentioned tree. The bags are wet, but the cache itself is in a good condition.
Afterwards we made a wrong decision : we took the way down to the lower trail back to El Pilar ! This path is like bubble gum - it never ends. 25km and 8.5h in total. Our adwise : choose an other way !
Many thanks for this cache
