After getting permission the head Ranger for the Oakmulgee Division of the Talladega National Forest, I placed this cache at the Payne Lake recreation area in Hale County. This is that county's first geocache. The area has two swimming areas, fishing, camping (only $4.00), and hiking trails. The best place to park for this cache is probably the east side swimming area. A trail leads you around the lakeside but you will have to hike uphill off the trail to the cache. You may need the bug spray in the cache during warm weather!
