This cache was placed near the North Ghost campground in the Wiaparous area (HWY #40 north - west of Cochrane). The campground is closed in the winter, but you can park at the entrance and walk from there. In summer there is lots of parking. The cache is also close to the open camping area nearby on the East side, but access might be difficult in the winter.

We parked at 51 23.790N 115 01.103W and crossed the bridge, following the river north on the west side. You can cross at a few places so you could start on either side. Follow the river to the old bridge, cache is about 80 meters back in from ledge overlooking old bridge. We walked about 2.5k to the cache but there are shorter routes.

The cache is hidden under some branches at the base of a hill and we leaned an old log again it - which may or may not be there when you get there. All in all, a nice walk and we've walked it almost every month of the year. If there is deep snow, we often walk the river ice as it is almost always frozen and shallow - but you decide at your own risk.

Parking and washrooms available only if the campground are open. Otherwise, you can park at the gates and walk in.

This was our first cache of the day heading towards Blue Hill Lookout.

Parked in the camprground then walked partly on the quad track. Didn't cross the creek.
