3rd of 3 Navicache only finds in the park today. I'm hooked on these now (scary). Parked at the coordinates suggested. Found trail. Had to bushwack the last 100+ feet, but it wasn't too bad. Found cache after a little bit of searching. Cache is pretty exposed, but it doesn't seem like folks come here very much. Tried to cover up a little better than found.

TN Left: micromachine fire vehicle. SL -- logbook bag has a small tear. Should probably be replaced. I didn't have a bag big enough - sorry.

After finding a nearby cache my son and I decided to try our luck with this cache. Only problem was trying to find a way in to the cache, sure was a lot of brush, but not enough to stop us. Our GPS led us directly to the cache without problems, except some bark that I got down my back! Nice hide, Thanks.

The WhiteUrkel decided to try finding an “old time cache”. What I mean by this is, it hadn’t been found in over a year.

We left the geo-auto, and hit the trails, from the main rd, what parking area ???. All went easy and well, till we neared the cache. The “Great” WhiteUrkel took the low road and I took the high. Well, I followed the arrow and tried to bushwack to the top. As I cleared the brush and stood in the open area to allow the gps to lock on some satellites, I herd that well known cry “Huckle-Buckle” come from below. Yes, it was TWU, and he indeed did find it. I bushwacked back down to where he was standing. Sure enough, there sat the can, all locked in by “old man winter’s grip” sadly to report.

Well, I didn’t drive 80 miles to let some death grip stop us. TWU had found some fair sized sticks and tried to pry the can as I dug by hand. After several attempts and broken sticks, I grabbed a big gun. A few swift “not so loving taps”, jarred it from the grip of winter.

Once we opened the can, we were relieved to see all is well.
TWU opened the log book and read the last entry. Holy Cow! It was true, nobody found this cache in over 18 months. Urkel exclaimed, now that is what caching is all about.

I thought about that line, as TWU signed the log book. Yes, this must have been what it felt like back in the early days of “Stash Hunt”. Finds, far and few between, but in good condition. We were glad to see no liquid or food had been left in the cache – except for some 2 yr old tic tac’s – orange I think ???

Strikeforce1 *out-and-about* with the Great WhiteUrkel in Rochester

Urkel and Strikeforce1 are on the loose, the first to remove this navicache from it's tomb in 1.5 years!! And believe me, this sucker was frozen in; I broke two tree branches trying to free it, before SF1 came to the rescue with the special heavy duty tree limb. I also need to thank him for giving me some of the 2+ year old Tic-Tacs that were in the cache. They tasted rather funky, but I'm still OK, at least as of the time I'm typing this log. The cache was in fine shape, bone dry inside. I TNLN, thanks for the cache.

Another cache that hasn't been visited since JUNE ! What gives in this park. These trails are wonderful and the kids and dogs would love to run around here. Didn't even see another human. Although I didn't find the "easy" trail, I ended up bushwacking my way in. Found the cache holding up a tree and had to negotiate for it's release but I got it fairly easily. Cache contents getting low, only a few goodies left. TNLN. Nice Hide ! Terrain should be rated higher for the last 50-80 feet.

Found the parking lot and took a hike. Nice walk along the course of things and over hill and dale. Had to look around a little but the coords were right on. Saw a lot of planes go over.Nice cache. Thanks for the hide. Nana & Papa (papac2)

Nice rainy day for a long round about walk to the cache. Was peaceful walk tho w/ my sister from Garford Gang, saw 2 golfers braving the weather (and we thought we were nuts!). Cache was found at 12:15PM. Took Travel Bug to help it on its journey.
Amazing how much shorter the walk on the way out was :) Thanks for the hike.

Now I know I'm hooked, went caching in the rain! Teamed up with Peppermill 6-Pack. We went the long way around to get to this one. (Thanks Peppermill.) Took magnet game, left hobby knife.

After a little bit of a side trip up a large hill, if you have done this one, you know which one we are talking about...Then we realized that we needed to be on the other side of the swamp, so we started that way and after that we found it relatively quickly. We took some tic-tacs and left Dinky, the TB number 305797. Thanks for whoever is leaving the tic-tacs, they were a savior when we were thirsty. Good exercise, great hide. Thanks again.

Found it after work. Lots of snow on the ground. Took awhile but between using the Etrex and my trusty compass, I found it. Poked a lot of holes in a lot snow with my hiking stick.I had thought of using my snowshoes, but it was pretty thick bushwacking in some places. Had some trouble picking up the signals in ccertain spots, but just walked back out, used the compass to sight a bearing and visualized locations, such as a couple of trees. On the third try with this method, I found the cache by poking into the snow. I grew a very large smile on my face when my hiking stick created a metal thud after poking it around in the snow. i either found the cache or something else. ache box was exposed under the snow and frozen to the ground. Had a tough time prying it loose ! left a practice ( yellow with a red dot ) golf ball and took a Suzan B. Antony coin. Cache box seems kind of empty. 1st to find it this year. Next week I will be going to check out the Orient Express cache in the same park. Thanks for the stash.

Remembered clue...almost started bushwhacking early...found cache with ease, Took nothing; left nothing.

It was a great morning for a walk, rainy & wet one can not have more fun bushwacking in those conditions especially with a 6 & 8 yr old in tow. Found lots of golf balls on a little detour getting to the cache. Cache is pretty picked over. Parents do you teach/understand fair trade? We remember the treasure is in the hunt in and out, I grew up playing in these hills and related some stories to the rest of the team.

Not to far from home. Had to back track a little and had to make a couple stabs through the the last 50 or 80 feet. Persistence payed off. Cauch was in good shape. Made my trade, log entry and photo. Nice hide Quinn, thanks for getting me out on another mini adventure.

Sure are a lot of brambles and grape vines and things by this cache! Nobody is going to bump into this one by accident, which is a good thing. Thanks for the fun.
We saw a mommy deer and her baby on a trail not too far the cache site.

A busy day of geocaching for us. Found this one at 12pm. Lots of prickers on bushes. After hiking all winter forgot what that does to skin! Took nothing, left nothing.

Found with no problem. Son is getting really hooked!

Took two pictures and 2 george bills to track. My son had to have the tin with the change in it! Nothing gets by him. On our way to the next one!

Thanks for the adventure! Brings our family closer and gives us a great hobby!

Found the cache at 3:33 this afternoon, but the dudes were gone. I really enjoyed the cache placement, not too dificult yet not too easy. I signed the log, snapped a pic, too a lucky rabbits foot, and left groucho glasses. Though I didn't get here as early as Gimpy did yesterday, I too had the place to myself. The showers, black sky, high wind and dropping temperature has kept folks away. My kind of adventure.

Great spot, Quinn. No problems getting to the cache location.Early Monday morning so I had the place to myself. Pulled the little yellow guy from the cache,& relocated him to lighthouserockets "Return to Earth" cache. Exchanged 2 wheresgeorge bills, & left an electronic Black Jack game. Took a snapshot with the cache camera, left my mark in the log book & placed the cache back in its resting place. Good time. Thanks. --Gimpy--

yeah!! we were the first ones to find this!! this was our fifth one today. we went at night, it was a little dark. clue's led us right to it. we took the blue m & m dude and a where's george dollar. we left a where's george and a chem lite.
