Open Log: Personal use only The cache is in great shape, the previous log was from June 2004. We always forget to check this site. Note that this cache is located about a 1/4 mile from a cache we placed. Thanks for the hide!

Open Log: Personal use only The Whitefeet from Ottawa, Canada joined me for this one. The cache was easily found after an enjoyable walk. We encountered some mountain boarders - an activity none of our group of four had seen before. We were quite interested to watch them for a while. Traded a picture frame for a casette.

Open Log: Personal use only WOW ! This one was very strange. I found the location and searched and searched and searched. I sat down to take a short break and my GPS coordinates slowly shifted and said I was 60 + feet from "0". I moved the 60'found it very easily. I think the satelites were sending a correction signal and threw me off ! This is a first for this. It was fairly early Sunday Morning and it was the 4th for the day. Found it @ 11:30AM and I forgot to keep tract of what I took and what I left. I put it in the log book. What a beautiful park...My first time there...TNX

Open Log: Personal use only This was our first cache. It was a nice hike but a little bit buggy. We found it fairly quickly. I do have to admit this was my second attempt. The first time I didn't have a clue as to how to use the GPS. Luckly, I do now.

What does a person do after attending a birthday party at the Rotary Lodge in the park? Find a quick cache before the drive home to Fairport of course! Nice short hike into the woods. Saw several deer running away from cache area. Found cache at 6:12PM. Thanks for the hide to keep me smiling while driving home.

Found the cache with relative ease, after a bit of tramping through the snow. Snow has melted quite a bit since the last time we tried to find it (couple weeks ago), at which point it was totally under snow, today it was partially visible, for which I was glad. No more digging out caches (yay). Took Beach Cards and Seeds left WG$ and gloves.

This was a pretty easy find on a nice trail.
I had a very inquisitive deer watch me as I climbed up over the hill and found the spooky tree below. It looks like the trees the wicked witch in OZ had.
Took two G-bucks and left a prepared slide set.
Thanks for the hide. | |

Not too much trouble finding the cache. An enjoyable hike in, and the bugs weren't too bad yet. My wife had never been to this park, so she added another one with a good playground to take the kids to.

This one was another one close to home. We were all sitting around with nothing to do. It was either go to a movie and pay big bucks or get an ice cream somewhere and pay bucks to stand in line!!!!!!!!!! So the boys put on their old sneakers and clothes, grabbed some bug spray, and off we went ....

This was our first attempt at finding a cache. We set out after dinner, found the cache before sun down and went for ice cream to celebrate. The entire family is now hooked. Very muddy if you got too far off the trail. Several areas of the trail under a couple inches of water. Found the cache after circling it because of the water. We'd of probably found it faster if we could have walked in a striaght line. :)

Open Log: Personal use only I had an email today from a retired couple (Bob & Marilyn) who had been given an eTrex, found my addy in a cache posting & wanted a first-time guide. After work, I took them to this famous, "not too easy", cache. Enroute we found a discarded garbage bag to fill & experienced GPS navi-fritz under tree cover. We did a careful cross search, taking care of the foliage, & Marilyn had the sharp eyes. Took nothing, left 3 WheresGeorge.com bills for free tracking. | |

We found this Cache around 3:15 pm with four members of the ABC News crew here doing a National story On geocaching and the Navicache website. We all had a great time looking for this one! Be sure to watch the abc news with Peter Jennings on Friday July 6th 2001 to see this Cache and the story on National news. I thank Greg and everyone else for all their support on this. |
