This cache is a .50cal ammo can painted in Camo to help hide from spying eyes. There is no need to bushwack to this cache except for the last ten yards off the trail. Which trail you take will be up to you, this is what will make it fun. If you choose the wrong trail just back track and take a different route. If you need to cut through the woods more than 20 yards then you are on the wrong trail. This cache has several Items of interest to all age groups as well as a cache camera for you to take a picture of self or group with. When the camera is full I will add the pictures within to the website for all to view. I am not going to add the parking coordinates to this cache as it should be fairly easy to figure out. If you find the sign seen above then you are parking in the right spot. This cache can be done year round as long as snow is no more than a foot deep in the winter. Please sign the logbook and replace the cache as you found it so that anyone passing by will not happen to come across it. Use the map links to get a general idea where you need to head off to if you need the help. Good Luck and have fun! |

Open Log: Personal use only Almost headed on this trip, thinking it was an under-visited NaviCache. I started doing my homework and then discovered it's double-posted on the other caching site with many, MANY more posts.

The fall colors really looked nice along this quiet trail. I saw a few people in other sections of the park, but not a soul in the search zone. The cache is very nicely concealed until you look at things from a different angle, and everything's in great shape!

Came home from church, made a sandwich and went caching. Had to do this cache. Thru the years, we've been to this park for a graduation party, wedding reception and steakout. Pretty little trail - that gathering place on the trail with the benches made me think of many years ago and Girl Scout Day Camp. Have the Prodigal Jeep TB. Took the poncho - it was starting to rain. Left a toonie. Did make it back to the car before the downpour. Thank you, Quinn. Team Durant

Open Log: Personal use only Very nice park, in fact I think I'm taking my canoe back tonight to do a little paddling. Thanks for the find. Took "Where's George" Bill to hide in another local cache.

This was a nice hide on a twisting trail. There was someone blasting away with a gun nearby.
I took a pic - number 21 I think.
The cache is full. I took nothing and left nothing.

Another gem of a little park that we never would have known about if not for this sport. We could hear the fishermen and the paddlers, but they could not see us. Cache is in great shape. Took a geode and a light stick. Left a rain poncho and a set of multi-color pens. Afterall, this is an outdoor classroom.

This really wasn't a day for caching due to the rain, but nonetheless, we went anyways. Had a nice drive and definitely a nice walk. The path was well covered in cedar for those large puddles! Very nice area! Saw fresh deer tracks and heard noises in the brush! :)

Did the loop on the wrong trail before hitting the right one. The MAP330 brought us pretty close, but overcast and light rain seemed to be preventing a lock closer than 30 feet. We found the cache in a couple minutes after getting in the vicinity; the box is very well camouflaged. Took "Oscar" with Travel Bug attached (He'll go into a new cache of mine very soon), also took a car light and took the first pic with the camera (hope it still works;-). Left some dice and a Sacajawea dollar. It was 50 degrees and raining fairly heavily as we walked out, so our footprints in the snow likely disappeared before anyone else could follow them to the cache. Thanks for a fun hunt in a familiar area!
