This is Gatlinburg's first physical cache. Gatlinburg, Tennessee is a thriving tourist destination on the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The cache is not located within the park.

Try out this cache in the heart of the city. Parking could be problematic depending on the season, but spaces are plentiful nearby. Closest parking location is mentioned in the encrypted hint below. Be prepared to go shopping after this one - there will be lots of stores all around you.
Container is now a small tupperware painted black.

9-29-03... Hiding spot has begun to crumble, so cache has been shifted behind it. I've altered the hint a wee bit. I will be relocating this cache (probably 100-200 feet away) in about a month!

In Gatlinburg for a family reunion and took the opportunity to introduce several people to geocaching, a cousin and his two boys from Tennessee and another cousin's grandson. Easy find when they followed my directions. But we did it the hard way; over the ridge and down the verrry steep hill in the dark!!
