This virtual cache is a monument to the single most famous Civil Rights leader in American history. This spot is a focal point for an annual march every January, the largest of its kind in the nation, numbering some 100,000+ marchers.
The first set of coordinates will get you to the monument commemorating this slain hero. To get credit for the cache, however, you must proceed a bit further to the second set of coordinates: N 29 degrees 25.521' W 098 degrees 27.670' Email me and tell me in whose memory the monument at the second site is dedicated. It is advised that cachers not visit this site after dark. Nearby neighborhood residents have warned that the area is crime-ridden after sundown. |
