Approximately 2 miles round trip. Cache is about 40 ft. off of trail. Cache is fairly well hidden.

This is our first hidden treasure. The cache is located in the Fran Uhler Natural Area in Bowie. Off of Md. Rt. 197 in Bowie. Take the MARC Rail exit North of Bowie State University. (Lemons Bridge Rd.) and proceed straight through at the stop sign (after you stop!) to the end of the road. (Beware of the potholes!) A pleasant walk through a natural wooded area. Beware of the metal dinosours passing too and fro. Follow the obvious path for approximately .5 miles. Turn left on a dirt footpath. Follow the trail approximately .25mi. Look for an Iron bridge. You're getting close. You are looking for a medium/large rubbermaid style storage box. The original contents of this cache was Several Hockey Cards, Handful Of Coins, Several Assorted Watches, Jack Daniels Belt Buckle, Nokia Cell Phone holster, 2 Motorola Cell phone batteries, Wonder-Tool Key Chain, small Flashlight Holster, Santa Pez Dispenser (No Pez it might attract ants! :), Ice Scraper (You'll be needing one soon!), a few AA Batteries, Saturn Club Pin, A few plastic trash bags, A logbook, A disposable camera. Please Snap a mug shot of yourself and/or your group and leave the camera, but don't forget to sign the logbook. Feel free to take a trash bag and pick up any trash you find on your way out. Take a Rt. 66 Post Card sign your name on it and pass it on to another cahce. You may need boots if you go after a rain.

Came by to preview this area for Bag-A-Load-A-Cache next weekend. Pleasant walk over from NASCAR Cache My Draft and fortunately, I picked the correct trail (the obvious choice, I guess) to go straight to the iron bridge. There was a creek crossing along the way that was an easy one-step. The iron bridge was an interesting antique too, even if the guard rail was bent way over to the side. The cache was easy to spot. Perhaps it needs more cover to be well hidden. Very nice and roomy cache though. Took the slide rule. Left some Where's George (http://www.wheresgeorge.com) dollar bills. Thanks.

You were not kidding about the walk!
Feet are tired but I had a great time doing this one. I am here finishing up some business that has me traveling quite a bit, so there is nothing like cutting the day by bringing along the GPS.
I had no clues or text with me so I did this all from just the coordinates.
Great time was had by me!
just before logging this I looked at the Sat image map on Navicache.com and could see a nice view of the entire area.
well done job! wish there were more of these.
took a candle and left a key chain.
Thanks again for the fun.

Found this cache after an orienteering meet in the other part of Uhler Park, on the other side of the RR tracks. Saw three deer enroute to the cache. The trails leading to the cache area are a little sloppy, thanks to some beaver related flooding.
